I highly recommend Stuart Heather Carpentry & Joinery. He is precise, honest, efficient, a very hard worker and gets things done in half the time of anyone else. He was also able to resolve dangerous workmanship from a previous contractor, which saved a fortune and a potential fire! He is also very respectful of your home, does not leave tools lying around during a job and leaves the place spotless when he is done. You can also trust his design ideas for practicality and style, and I wouldn't waste time with anyone else.

Stuart was responsive and helpful when we contacted him in need of some help with our stair repair. Within 24 hours the work had been completed which has led us to request quotes for further works in our hall and across our house. I would have no doubts recommending Stuart and giving his service 5 stars!

When we first met Stuart we knew he was someone who was completely genuine and a craftsman. First impressions were very important and even though our job was small, he ensured we were made to feel it was important to him. Stuart replaced our kitchen worktops, improved cosmetics of existing cupboards and tiled. He was very tidy and cared about his work whilst respecting being in someone's home. Stuart did extra bits to really finish the job and was completed within cost. We would highly recommend Stuart and will certainly use him again. Stuart has done some amazing work for me. He has transformed my barn with beautifully fitted light oak flooring, doors, skirting boards and architrave. His craftsmanship is superb. He is willing to go along with what you want but also comes up with excellent suggestions. He is totally reliable, trustworthy and fantastic value for money. We found Stuart when embarking the restoration of very old oak beams in our cottage. Stuart provided professional guidance on how best to retain the character and appearance of the timber while cleverly hiding the structural members needed to improve the integrity of the ceiling. A very tidy finish which has transformed our room into something stunning. Super impressed!

Stuart and his team completed repairs to my mums summerhouse a few months ago. They were, as expected incredibly professional and did a great job for her. They were also really kind lovely people and we happily recommend them.

Let's be honest. At the start, you don't really know what to expect do you?That said Stuart Heather came highly (I mean very highly) recommended from a well known corporate business. A recommendation like that helps.Stuart came to quote and put us at ease and, fundamentally, confirmed to deliver what we wanted. He took mitre-Inc of a solid oak kitchen island with waterfall countertop. No one else would...When he started, he was on early and had done his set-up and prep quietly prior to the arranged start time. He treated the wood we had purchased with respect and took his time in the key elements of cutting and setting up.He also offered suggestion for a matching shelving unit. We accepted.All in - what he delivered was simply stunning. He improved our design with his own experience and input and suggested an upswell that has further improved our kitchen.It came in ahead of time, below budget and as the pictures will see, stunning.We're going to use Stuart for a few more jobs - inside and out, big and small. We have almost finished using Stuart (and Nathan) for our loft conversion project in Midhurst.Stuart's attention to detail was apparent from the start, as he spent almost 2 hours at our home reviewing our plans and structural drawings, giving us step by step instructions on how he would build our new home.He started the day he said he would, and at the time he said he would. Stuart is very prompt and is not shy of working a whole day!Stuart arranged for all items to be delivered exactly at the time we would need them, which worked out perfectly as we were trying to live in one room at the time. Both Stuart and Nathan are very aware of the fact that although we lived in a building site, it is still our home, and would clear up as he went along and he was mindful of our furnishings etc.The attention to detail shown throughout our project has been impeccable. Having renovated 4 other properties, and used other carpenters in the past, Stuart is way above the rest. He checks and checks again that what he is doing is what we want and was with us every step of the way.His woodwork is immaculate, as can be seen from the pictures in this review. His knowledge and understanding of building and carpentry was second to none.I would not hesitate to use Stuart (and Nathan) again, and will, without hesitation, use them for the installation of our new kitchen and also new folding patio doors, and any other projects that we may encounter in the future. I would also add that Stuart is very knowledgeable with building regulations and works precisely to these. Both are very polite and happy to deal with any questions or problems you may have.If you are reading this and considering a local carpenter then I cannot recommend Stuart enough! I now wouldn't look anywhere else, and we even have carpenters in the family!
