Windsor Road Garage

Although I have been taking my car to them for a few years now with no problems, I’m afraid I will have to take it elsewhere after they misdiagnosed an issue.My car had an obvious coolant leak at the front of the engine that was easily visible but the garage diagnosed a faulty heater core. When questioned as to why there was no leak on the inside of the car or near the heater core itself (two clear signs of heater core leak), they couldn’t really give me an answer. Another garage got it fixed in less than 24 hours (it was just a split pipe).It also had a split pipe coming from the MAP sensor which they said was unsourceable. Another garage got it for me in less than 24 hours…It is fair to say that they did not charge me for the (mis)diagnosis, but that on this occasion they were not really thorough either so I won’t be taking my car to them again.

Brilliant service, brilliant staff and good prices. Everyone there is very helpful and you get the typical family business vibe. Only a short walk from Gloucester road so you can drop your car off and go for a coffee. Would recommend to anyone who asks.

Despite having to reschedule a few times due to commitments and snow they were able to fit my car in for an mot very promptly. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely remind this garage!

Booked my van in for a check up, waited a week for the appointment and when I arrived they said that my van wouldn't fit in the garage as it has a roof rack, it would've been helpful to have asked me if I had a roof rack knowing the van before I arrived and not waste seven days waiting and an hour from the morning/rearranging all my tools in to a support car. Any van owners pay heed.

I am absolutely blown away by the service I received at Windsor Garage! Not only was the customer service incredible but I also struggled to pick it up before they closed so they have taken my car to my house and dropped the keys through the letter box. Finding this garage has been a god send and I would highly recommend to everyone in Bristol! Very happy customer!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have taken my car here twice now. Staff are really approachable, honest and have given me a good price for the work I've had done. Don't feel like I'm being ripped off here like I have felt at other garages.

I just went to get my car checked and was told a diagnostics would cost around £49. I went to pick it up and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it and they didn't charge me a penny, despite spending time to check what was wrong. So refreshing to not get ripped off. Decency goes a long way.

A rare garage that is run by respectable and skilful mechanics. A really family feel to the place and you get the feeling they’re not going to pull a fast one. Been using for about 3 years.
