Really good golf course to play with well kept greens and fairways,Lots of golfing essentials in the pro shop and very good friendly service and staff, would recommend.

First time back playing golf and absolutely loved it, this course was amazing and the condition was second to none.. Will defo be going back

What a place, one of the best and toughest golf courses I have played for a long time. Some of the holes are a bit on top of each other but lined by massive trees that make the course very narrow, making accuracy on your drivers essential. One of our group gave up his driver after 6 holes and didn't use it again all weekend. Deeta and Laura in the pro shop were exceptional polite and helpful. Could not do enough for you. This extended into the hotel where reception manager Louise and her team had the kind of customer service that everyone should attempt to match up to. The restaurant and bar was beautiful designed and food was epic, just wish the bar snacks were available longer as got peckish and they only had crisps. Really could not fault the place.One issue, a golfing one. The slow play on the Sunday. We hit the back 9 and out of nowhere we got stuck behind a group of 6, YES 6 who tried to convince us they were two groups. Strange how they were always together on the tees with no one in front of them. 3 hours to play the back 9. Was not happy and the results on my scorecard reflected my change in mood.

Lovely location, was a surprise stay for my birthday. Food was great especially the breakfast. Bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. The only issue is that there were two wedding on the day of our stay and the music went on until 1.30am and you could hear from our room otherwise everything else was fine. We would stay again.

What a lovely old style parkland course. The staff were very friendly. The course is very difficult from the white tees as the back nine was very tight, you need to bring your straight game. I’ll definitely play here again

Just returned from a society weekend with 19 other golfers,Golf course greatHotel greatFood greatStaff great … ButThe bar prices are a rip off 1 small bottle of beer = £5.10A dash of Coke in a whisky £2.60Yet a half pint of coke is also £2.60Should of been advised by the bar staffAnd a service charge on your drinks as they pass them over the bar .My advice would be to take your own drinks

Stayed for one night. A very beautiful location. Good service. Friendly atmosphere. Good food . We did not play golf. Nice walk to a near derelict castle.

Really enjoyed this golf course with a peaceful, pristine English Countryside backdrop. The massive trees, views, and beautiful fairways will blow you away. The tight fairways and tough greens will give you everything you’ve got. Look forward to returning to this gem one day.

Used the course for a corporate day… Really lovely course and well organised.20 of us stayed the night before and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and meal.Rooms clean and a nice spa too.Thanks to Peter and his team for a good experience.
