The Lamplighters
Lovely listed building pub set by the river with lots of outdoor seating and sunset spots. Interior needs an update but the local atmosphere and friendly staff make up for it 10 fold. Food is decent. Very bright lights over seating areas, could do with dimming as the evening goes on. Beer selection is great. Wine selection bad. Overall, much appreciated local river pub with lovely staff.

What a great find while doing a river Avon walk. Lovely inside, great garden and friendly staff. Had the best sunday roast (beef) I have had for years, and only £11!

I mostly go there for a beer, (not cheap), and to chill out looking at the view across the Avon towards Pill. Great place for that. Always has been.Nice walk along cycle path and banks of the Avon from under the M5 bridge to the pub.

Called in for lunch with a group of friends on a weekday after doing a short walk from Portway Park & Ride - and we went a lunch time and we were able to sit outside which was nice for an October day - they do full meals and sandwiches

Nice atmosphere and great position overlooking the River Avon. Visited on a sunny bank holiday so the garden was full with a happy holiday feel.Nice old fashioned pub I believe built in the 1700's.Food was classic pub grub and priced accordingly.

Came here for evening meal with my daughter. Booked in advance for early evening and found we needed to since most tables were taken by people ha I guess an evening drink. The menu is rather limited and basic with a couple of ‘specials’ which were nothing special. There was a good choice of beers and they tasted good. The quality of the food was good and the service very good apart from the fact that you couldn’t have a tab and had to pay for everything each time you ordered, which is frustrating. We had a calamari starter with a chicken burger and sausage and mash with a wine and 2 beers which came to £45 which is pretty good value for money

We stopped here for fish and chips, curry and fried chicken. All of which were just about acceptable. What you'd expect from a chain pub in this location. The fish was not overcooked, but the batter was undercooked in places. Peas were cooked properly. Chips were mushy oven chips. Sauce bottles had little tiny nozzles so that the end came off when using.Curry was ok. Fairly bland and not spicy but nothing terrible.Chicken bites and sweet potato fries were cooked correctly. Still tasted like they came out of a packet, but at least they hadn't been burned. If you're coming here you probably know what kind of food you're getting anyway. I didn't go by choice the first time and I wouldn't return.

Went to the Lamplighters for Sunday Roast. Good choice of mains, had the beef. I must say the food was served piping hot( plate was also hot which I like), the portions are very generous and the whole meal was very tasty. At a bargain price of £12.95 I would thoroughly recommend.
