Cherry Judo Club

Fantastic club which supports children of all ages and abilities. My youngest son has autism and the instructors are amazing with him and my other two children have also learnt so much. They have increased their confidence and have all been going for over 4 years and have made some amazing friends there.

What a fantastic judo club! Our son goes to Cherry Judo club and absolutely loves it. It’s massively boosted his confidence whilst learning judo and having fun. Barry is brilliant with the kids and you can really see he loves what he does. Highly recommend this judo club!

This is a great club for juniors and senior from beginner level to skilled. Very welcoming when I first joined and very supportive on my journey in Judo. Highly recommended.

Join this club! We came from another judo club that we thought was good and then we came here. This is the carlsberg of judo clubs! Barry and Charlotte have the skill and compassion to get the best out of every person, building them up and improving their general wellbeing as well as teaching great judo. I have a neurodivergent son (brain injury) and they have helped him achieve so much in a short space of time, knowing exactly when to encourage and inspire and when to support and comfort. Their inclusion sessions are a breath of fresh air and a great opportunity. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the kids come first 100% of the time. I also have a son attending the seniors class which is well attended and a great variety of people which provides a great learning environment and social group. The club has its own permanent dojo and is warm and welcoming to parents and judokas. The club is forward thinking and progressive, working closely with the bja on the future of British judo. So whether you are neurodivergent, have a disability, want to build confidence, get fit, just make friends or learn some serious judo...this is the place for you! Why would you go anywhere else?!

All three of my children have attended Cherry Judo Club.The instructors are committed to giving excellent training and are friendly and approachable. In particular, they motivate the less confident members to fulfil their potential through an encouraging and supportive teaching approach.The classes promote self-assurance alongside discipline, and students are encouraged to compete in regional and national events.A great club that I have no qualms about recommending.

Cherry Judo Club are so friendly and welcoming, with coaches who show such care and patience to everyone.Both my 5 and 7 year old love attending and receive outstanding teaching and support whilst having a lot of fun.It is fantastic to find a discipline which encourages such respect for each other. I would highly recommend this club for children pursuing martial arts or looking to have fun, socialise, and keep healthy.
