Went in to enquire about the the condition of my bicycle which I hasn't used for a while... Ross was super helpful and took the time to answer a few questions I had, even when he was right in the middle of fixing another bike and had a tight deadline. Would highly recommend Evans Cycles and Ross if you need anything regarding bicycles!

Popped in for a bike for my daughter, had looked on their website and decided to pop in. Such a limited choice in store maybe 1 for her age. The guy was kinda apologetic and said look on their website for more kids bikes. Seems more of a adult focussed high end shop. Going to stick to Halfords from now on.

Ross and Bilal were fantastic help purchasing two bikes when we were walk in customers with no prior notice. Walked away with two new hybrid bikes and all the gear we needed to get back to cycling! Excellent experience and would definitely shop here again.

I've used Evans Cycles for two inner tube replacements over the past few years, but their 5 star rating comes from a recent experience. My right pedal fell off my bike, and Ross very quickly equipped a new pair of pedals for me as soon as I walked into the store with my bike.The staff are all knowledgeable and always provide excellent service.

Went to see them after halfords did an absolutely awful job on building my new bike. Keiran was amazing and helped diagnose the multitude of problems and sort it out swiftly for me. Will be recommending to all colleagues and friends fromnow on.

Went into the store looking for an e-bike I could put a child seat on the back. The staff were incredibly unhelpful especially the mechanic. Told me it wasn’t possible on any bike because the rack was too wide. Offered no possible solutions. Went to a local shop in Abingdon instead. Bought the exact same bike and that guy put the child seat on the back with no problem.To sum up, staff know little about bikes and “mechanic” couldn’t even fit a child seat. Useless shop. Avoid

I didn't have the right tool to fit a new cassette. Called them up to ask if they could do it. No issue.Took it in, job done in 10 minutes. Bought some new pedals also, no charge for the job.Great service, thanks.

The guys in store were extremely helpful.Ben helped fix my bike and helped work with me to understand what's best for me and my requirements.Took some time out to explain the differences between different products and instead getting me to spend unnecessarily, ensured I got what was best for me.I was quick to come back to have the brakes on my wife's hybrid bike fixed.I learnt a lot and will definitely come back again.

I took my bike in on thursday for a some replacement mechanical items. I first checked twice by phone that they had the relevant parts and was assured that was so and booked in. I had an email the next day to say that they didnt have the parts and that they could no longer repair bikes that were not bought there or when you could not produce an Evans receipt. I can only assume that this is the beginning of the end for Evans as a bike repair business or they have so much money they dont need to worry about customer service any more for long term customers. The guys on site were apologetic and just passing on the message. Clearly will never use Evans again.
