Went to watch Dawn French last week. Was up on the balcony. Ticket said restricted view but I thought it was great. Back next week for Gabrielle, but managed to get up the front. Perfect for dancing!Drinks are a little pricey as expected, but staff are great

I must admit, not the best looking theatre but lovely on the inside. We sat in j35/36 and had an excellent view lots of leg room. We watched The King and I, and what a fantastic show, the whole cast were amazing. My only complaint, it’s a cashless venue which I find annoying. Car park is a five minute walk.

If you want a good night out go see lost in music at Oxford theatre, best night out in a long time, all dance music from the 70s, if this show is anywhere near your area its a must see.

Level 42 put on a superb show but the time said 7pm on the tickets when in fact it should have been 7.45pm. It was raining so there were lots of people squashed in to the bar areas and we all had a long wait. We like row F in the circle because it has extra leg room but with some productions the safety bar can be a nuisance. It wasn't a problem with Level 42 but it was with Dirty Dancing in July. Definitely recommend you to see Level 42 if you get the chance.

At the New Oxford Theatre for “Dirty Dancing” this week. Dressing rooms are up lots of stairs but there’s plenty of backstage space for changes this space. Yes! This is a beautiful city. The waterway walk from the train station to my digs was lush. Lots of long boats and locks to admire. Even a train roundabout in one of the photos. Cool!

Saw Tom Allen here. Funniest stand up I've been to and very clever and engaging. The theatre is great too with raked stall seating, comfortable seats and a good stage view from all round the theatre... We will be going back to Oxford and this theatre as soon as we can!

Visited the New Theatre to watch Paul Smith Joker tour, the building itself is nice and original to its age, very dated inside but obviously that’s intended to keep the building original. Little uncomfortable for myself in the seating but that’s only due to me being a big bloke 6ft 5 and 17st. Good refreshments available bit pricey but again expected.

Lovely old theatre but no lifts fitted and stairs really steep with not many hand rails, so if you struggle with stairs, you will struggle here. Staff friendly enough and door men Great but for some unknown reason there is only one door (out of 5) open for the very long queue to get in. This led to some people still being in the street queue missing the start of the show.Interval drinks can be ordered but again lots of stairs to encounter. Blue badge holders have a few seats allocated but as I said if you struggle with stairs be prepared to suffer to get to your seat and then again going home or to the loo.Good show - David Mitchell promoting his book. From now on though visits will be stalls only with the least stairs. When asking if there was a lift- the young member of staff said - What do you expect ? It's a Victorian theatre!" Not too helpful but something to remember for future visits. Will visit again as the shows are good and seats comfy

Very cool art deco feel to the theatre and the different bars all have their own atmosphere from snug and cozy to piano elegance. Comfy seats and friendly staff.

We went to the see the King and I.All round good experience and the theatre is very well run. The staff are polite and helpful and all was well organised. The production was good and the set was amazing. It's been a while since I saw the film, but the story was retold well.We had an enjoyable experience.
