Absolutley appaling service with incompetent staff working at the Elgin Hertz location. I dropped off a Van after a 1 way hire at 0850 (took picture with time date stamp). Damage assessor proceeds to charge me for damage that was already on the pre hire vehicle condition report. They clearly tried to scam me for more money. They also tried to charge me for a late return by saying the van was returned 2 hours later and took more money off my card. I have managed to prove their incompetence and have got my money back after emails back and forth. Not impressed. AVOID

Hertz Car Rental - Elgin - Linkwood Road
This is a Hertz agent - not a Hertz main dealer. I booked a Hertz van hire a week in advance. When I went to collect it there was no Hertz vehicle available - I had no notice and no contact from Hertz at all about them cancelling my reservation. I'll try not to use Hertz in future due to their lack of communication and non-existent customer service. On the bright side the agent staff at FMS Vehicle Rentals sorted me out a van from their own fleet, at no notice, at the same price as Hertz and with GREAT customer service (see separate 5 star review for FMS).

The level of service I received here was excellent. Someone from the office was kind enough to pick us up from the train station and drop us off after we dropped off our car. The service from all the individuals was great as well. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
