Crystal clear water means you can see the fish. So keep moving and stalk the fish. These might only be stock fish , but they give a good fight.

This place is amazing. Staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. As an angler who has fished for trout for many years in Southern Africa I am more acustomed to muddier waters. Chalk Springs was on a different level. Water was crystal clear, healthy and thriving with trout (some hidden monsters in there also). Caught my first Brown there and it was the biggest fish I have ever tackled. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the amazing day out guys!

Absolutely beautiful fishery, always a great day here. Gin clear water, stunning fish, very friendly helpful staff. Doesn't get any better than this.
