Booked for a BD dinner. The decor is nice as well as the crockery. The food quality and portion size were decent. Price wise it's alil pricey and service charge is added to the bill. The 2 hosts were very nice and polite as well as most of the staff. My only annoyance was that they messed up the BD cake presentation. There was a massive mix up with the cakes as there were 3 other birthday meals, despite telling 2 of the waitresses which one our cake was and that we had been waiting over 20 mins. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but when it came our turn, we felt rushed and forgotten and pretty much ruined the meal.FYI, the main floor has several steps which means it's not suitable for disabled. There is a stairlift for downstairs area which was dead but there are some steps to get to the ladies toilet. So if ur disabled and wana try this place out, best go to the toilet beforehand or bring a bucket. All in all a disappointing experience but I'd give it another go but not for a BD meal.

- dim sum £4.80-6.50 each- fish congee £7.80- crispy chow mein £7.80- spicy tofu & veg £12.80- two roast meats and rice £13.80different from your usual yum cha place bc of its incredibly clean and sleek ambiance and interior! moreover, you don't order using the 'tick sheet' and instead, you order from a member of staff. their menu is very big with lots of the classics but also a few unique dishes such as brown rice cheung fun, mango lava bun, buddha's delight dumplings and coconut milk tart.i would recommend ordering the brown rice cheung fun particularly bc it is rare to find in the uk. it is filled with a fried, rather than steamed, prawns which was a nice contrast in textures. the standout for me was the taro croquette bc it was generously packed with taro and meat filling and the pastry was very flakey. the two roast meats was another favourite bc, unlike other places, it was actually meaty and not just bones.we usually get vegetarian crispy chow mein but they recommended ordering a spicy tofu dish with crispy chow mein on the side so we did and it was very delicious! but the crispy chow mein alone was almost £8!? £3-5 would’ve been a lot more reasonable since it is JUST noodles but we’ll make a note of that for next time... the dim sum, congee and roast meats were reasonably priced though so i would definitely come back for those.

I recently dined at Home and was transported to the vibrant streets of China. Here's a quick review:Beef Chow Mein: The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the beef and veggies blended well.Chicken Feet: A unique choice that's surprisingly delicious. Adventurous eaters won't be disappointed.Dim Sum: A nostalgic experience that felt like home. Delicate dumplings with authentic flavors showcased the chef's skill. In summary, Home offers an authentic Chinese dining experience with standout dishes like Beef Chow Mein, Chicken Feet, and heartwarming Dim Sum.The overall ambiance and quality make it a must-visit for Chinese cuisine lovers and curious food enthusiasts.

Really good Chinese food! The Cheung Fun was certainly very fun. Lots of different interesting and tasty foods to share. The battered prawns where hyoooge and the custard baos were a great way to end the meal.

Today me and my two other friends dined at this Chinese restaurant name HOME and had an exceptional experience. The hot and flavorful soup set the perfect tone for the meal for a cold weather in Manchester. The stir-fried long beans were expertly prepared, offering a delightful crunch. The roast duck was succulent and packed with flavor, while the claypot pork belly was a true highlight – tender, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The diverse and well-executed dishes showcased the chef's skill and dedication to delivering an authentic and delicious dining experience.I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking top-notch Chinese/ Cantonese cuisine. And I would like to shout out to the Manager Lester and service staff Hau Yi for their hospitality in welcoming us and providing us with an exceptional dining experience with great food.Five STARS environment /Service/Food without the Five STARS pricing.

Highly recommended! Authentic Chinese cuisine with excellent value for money. The manager is very welcoming, and the service is great. As a Chinese, I will choose here whether I'm with Chinese friends or British friends.

Brilliant Chinese restaurant. Huge menu (probably too big) but once you’ve gotten your head round it there is a great selection of Szechuan and Cantonese style dishes. Staff are happy to talk you through the menu if you need any help. Service was professional and friendly, the food was really nice and portions huge. Not expensive for the quantity and quality of what we had. No complaints really would definitely recommend.

We have been visiting Manchester for a few days and hands down, this was the best restaurant we have been to. From the service to the food, everything was wonderful. My kids loved the Chinese sausage fried rice (which came in an egg some - super interesting). Pan fried and Shanghai dumplings were great. The roasted meats were a hit, as were the chau siu buns. We appreciated the extra attention the kids got upon departure as well! The fact that the place was filled with Chinese people speaks as well to its authenticity. The next time we are in Manchester, we will definitely be back!

First time patronising the restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. It was indeed a pleasant dining experience and the name of the restaurant ' HOME 'resonates with having a good meal at home.Good ambience and excellent service. The roast duck was moist and flavourful. The soup was the day was comforting especially on a cold weather. The claypot pork belly has a caramalised sauce that complements the dish. The string beans minced pork stir fried with a scent of mala flavour and easy on the palate, not too spicy.Prices are pretty reasonable as compared to the other restaurants nearby in chinatown.I would also like to compliment the staff by the name of Hau Yi and also the supervisor/manager Lester.Customer orientated and their finesse and service delivery was excellent.Besides that, they were engaging with customers most of the time and make effort to recommend dishes to each and individual diners according to their taste and preferences.Thank you for the excellent service.
