Had a fantastic Sunday dinner today , what a wonderful pub. Staff very friendly and all the people in the pub, made us feel very welcome. Good value for money, would highly recommend if someone is looking for a great meal.

Our first visit to this hidden gem which with the lack of custom on a Friday lunch time we can only assume has not been discovered by many. A community run pub in a small Norfolk village. Lots of history in this place. We both had freshly cooked baguettes packed with filling and served with fresh salad delicious and filling at a acceptable price. This pub needs supporting those running it are friendly and efficient. We will return to try one of the pub grub" meals on offer. Spread the word"

This pub is not too far from where we live but it is a bit like the curates egg …good in parts. We arrived on a couple of miserable autumn Friday lunchtimes with heavy rain looking forward to the woodburners thawing us out but no such luck. They ust have been saving the logs for another day.The place was empty and the heating switched off while the bar staff were more interested in gossiping among themselves than making us ,the only customers ,welcome. We retreated to the next village which also has a community pub but is warm and welcoming. There is no staff continuity at the Ploughshare and it appears there is a high turnover of those behind the bar. When busy it has atmosphere but without customers during the week it is like a morgue. My impression is that this is a hobby pub for the committee and friends with little thought for non regular visitors. Similar to Royston Vasey and the League of Gentlemen , a local pub for local people. We both had a drink and retreated thinking we had given the Ploughshare two chances.Light the fires ,switch the heating on and stop the bar staff gossiping while ignoring customers and we might come back one day.My recommendation is the nearby award winning Brisley Bell or the Swan at Gressenhall.

We had an amazing Easter Sunday roast dinner at the Beeston Ploughshare today. Food was delicious and plenty of it. All cooked to perfection. I think the Biscoff cheesecake was the best I've had (and I make a pretty mean cheesecake!) There was a lovely atmosphere with other customers being welcoming too. Staff were lovely, all very polite and attentive without being invasive. Would highly recommend, we'll certainly be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Personally I first visited the Plough under the stewardship of a guy called Steve the pub was vibing with a good atmosphere but after Steve leaving and then his replacement Claire departing the atmosphere of the place has declined. Whilst the concept of investment from the community is a food one perhaps the investors need to back down and let manager manage - stars are based on the current situation of nosey owners who seemingly want an extended lounge

Had a superb meal here on Wednesday evening. Highly surprised by the quality given the pubs remote location. Well worth a trip though. Amazing service too
