Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre

Had a lovely three hour trek here through the beach and village. Horses were very calm and well cared for. Staff friendly and supportive and always felt safe. We were complete novices and felt that the whole experience left us confident and wanting to do more.

What a great experience, the beach ride exceeded all expectations. Our group hadn't been on a horse for a long time and differed in riding abilities. Cath catered for everyone, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was made to feel comfortable in their ride. Very professional, friendly and lovely horses too. Would recommend to anybody.

Amazing beach ride with Emma and Lauren. Went with two girlfriends on a really sunny afternoon and this really allowed us to take in all the scenery and surroundings. Everyone on the ride was super friendly and was great to have trots along the sea front. Unfortunately, due to there being lots of jelly fish about we couldn’t go into the sea. However, was still a lovely 2 hours.Horses were the most well behaved horses I have ever ridden and super friendly. Shout out to my horse, Ted, who proves, at 23, that age should not impact on speed or enthusiasm!Thanks everyone for a lovely afternoon!

Simply fabulous. Exhilarating beach ride on fit Cob type horses. Generally no more than four people taken out . The scenery is breathtaking the horses are lovely willing , fun, forward and still safe, so can enjoy a good gallop without worries. I rode Toby and he was very much a comfy armchair ride but he could really go.

This was something I wanted to do for decades in my dreams. My husband booked me it as a surprise 60th birthday present and I haven't ridden properly since my teens. Kath was great and my Co. riders who all made it thoroughly enjoyable and I felt confident when we galloped along those fantastic sands.

It’s was my first time ever beach riding! It’s a must do list for those of you never done this. Thank you Cath for a wonderful time will be back for more xxx

Not ridden properly for a few years and was a bit nervous but needlessly as horses were so well behaved. I had the best day I’ve had for ages and a big smile on my face. Thank you!!This was 9th Oct 2023

I booked this for my partner 40th birthday and she really enjoyed it and it was something she really wanted to do and it was another thing she could tick off her bucket list. She would love to come again next year. Her horse was called father Ted and he was a fantastic horse and to say he was 23 years old he went like a rocket. Thank you again for a lovely day and Tina would come back
