DVSA Driving Test Centre

I am sorry to write this review; I want to make the person understand that people who come for a driving test do not make fault by intention—rude attitude. Sorry to say, but this is the worst experience I had; the person terminated my test after 30 min of the test, not even allowing me to drive back to the test centre and walking away from my cat. I tried my best in this test, and he found four driving faults. I am not complaining about his reason, but I am concerned about his behaviour. First, he was late to start the test, though if we were late by 5 min, we were not allowed to give the exam. He could have informed me and at least let me complete my driving test. I will never go to this location again. Sorry to say that, but you need to give better training to your teacher not to be rude to people who are trying hard. Extremely upset by the way he behaved with me. If the person is reading this, keep your self at my place and if i would have behaved with you live this how do you feel?

My daughter failed her test. Fair enough, no problem, but should not have received sarcastic comments by the tester. Driving instructor says that Chesterfield testers are horrible people with power trips. I have to agree based on first experience.

Even though I failed LISA was amazing very comforting and really put me at ease ...il be back to try again ...nice little center with friendly staff ...don't let the roundabouts put you off this area cos this center is the best

I recently had the pleasure of taking my driving test at the DVSA Driving Test Centre in Chesterfield, and the experience exceeded my expectations. I cannot speak highly enough of my examiner, Amy.Amy's calm and polite demeanor immediately put me at ease, easing any nerves I had before the test. Her positive attitude was contagious and created a comfortable atmosphere throughout the examination. Amy provided clear, precise, and timely instructions, making every aspect of the test straightforward to understand and execute.What truly stood out was Amy's ability to turn what is typically a nerve-wracking experience into an enjoyable one. Her positive presence in the car made a significant difference, and I left the test feeling not only confident in my driving abilities but also grateful for the support and encouragement she provided.I highly recommend the DVSA Driving Test Centre in Chesterfield, and I'm especially thankful for Amy's professionalism and positive approach. My examiner was sarcastic and condescending. He was deliberately trying to make me fail and he exaggerated the only fault I had by saying there were other vehicles on the way, there weren’t any…lol. Avoid this test centre if you can. The examiners seem to derive pleasure or get bonuses when learners fail.Pro-tips:Make sure your instructor or someone else comes with you on the test.They tend to act differently when you have someone else in the car with you.Don’t respond to too many small talks, they tend to start small talks when they are about to throw a curveball at you.

I've been a driver for over 15 years. I drove here in the UK with my international license. Then I have to do the test like a new driver lol. I have failed in this centre, I can understand it. It was tricky to go in a one-way street and turn right from the opposite lane. But in the roundabout, the examiner screamed at me to Stop when I was moving the car, I stopped the car making a dangerous manoeuvre, and I calculated that I could move the car before, like I said, I know how to drive. No one can scream at you when you are driving in dangerous places, is dangerous for the driver and the examiner. As an examiner you must know that your perspective of other cars and the street is different from the driver's perspective, it is physics, if you don't understand that, you shouldn't be an examiner. I don't know the criteria for hiring examiners, but that was dangerous to do, and I was nervous after that, and normally I am a very confident driver.

Scott was such a lovely exam bloke; I was like a nervous wreck but as soon as we sat in the car he made you feel at ease; He takes his time to talk & explain things to you, I couldn't have wished for such an amazing exam bloke; thankyou so much scott ; centre easy to get to; clean; everyones so lovely

Scott was amazing, made you feel at ease the minute he opened the door with a big smile. Very helpful & has a calming effect. Takes his time to talk & explain things to you, nothing too much trouble. Centre wise, small, clean & simple
