We found Brian's website via Google and thought his range of doors looked interesting. We rang him to discuss our project. We needed a door that would give a face lift to our renovation -a dilapidated bungalow that had lain empty for more than 5 years. We had an aperture with dimensions out of the normal that needed to be met. He spoke knowledgeably about the woods and the methods he used and invited us to his workshop to view the processes. Our question was would he be able to deliver the finished product to us as he wasn't local? Luckily he confirmed that he liked to deliver the finished products himself all part of his continuous care package.We were intrigued and very glad to visit his workshop as we benefited from his passion, experience and expertise. He showed us strictly (almost in dance mode) the importance of direction in entering and exiting and made us think about where our door furniture should and should not go. We talked about security, light and visibility factors, the side panels and the lead times for delivery. He has excellent contacts who crafted elegant bespoke glazed side panels that set off the warmth solidity and beauty of the oak door. The end result -kerb appeal - simply stunning work of art that stops people in their tracks! We then decide whether they may enter or not. A unique stylish door delivered door to door in good time. Brian created our lovely new door and was fabulous from start to finish. He gave us progress updates along the way and pictures of the door being made and was great on site. Turned up when they said, did a great job, lovely attention to detail with the mastic matching the grey door frame, quality locks. And the door itself looks just amazing. I contacted the Front Door Shop as well as several other specialists when I needed a replacement double front door at my house. Brian from The Front Door Shop came to my house to inspect the requirements and gave me a competetive price and timeline for the installation of some solid Oak double doors and a bespoke Oak Frame. The service I received at every step of the process was exceptional.The fit and finish of the doors and sidelights is brilliant. It is a vast improvement over the modern Aluminium doors that were previously installed.I have to mention that where Brian & The Front Door Shop really excelled was in taking on a job that 3 other specialists had declined due to the complexities of installation (basically my front door is at first floor level situated within a Porch and is reached by a set of stairs)Brian not only took on the job but there was no harm or damage to the surrounding Porch and entranceway, this is where the other specialists had concerns.It is not often, nowadays, to come across a caring and skilled craftsman who takes huge pride in his work as a skilled Joiner.I wholeheartedly recommend Brian and his team @ the Front Door Shop - thanks very much.

Five years ago I found a photo of a front door and fell in love with it. When we moved house I decided I had to have the door but struggled to find a company who were confident to make it. Michael from The Front Door Shop accepted the challenge and we started the process to design the door. Throughout the process they gave me updates and drawings, came and measured and explained everything at every step.The door quality is outstanding and it was fitted beautifully. Michael attended with the fitter and the area was left clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend them. The service and quality was fantastic.

We are particularly happy with the custom design, which lets in so much light. The build quality and joinery is really good, with extra thick wood. Everything fits perfectly, and it swings shut with a solid click, just like a high end BMW (I imagine!). Good attention to security with triple locks and toughened double glazed units. Brian and Martin made a couple of initial site visits to measure up, discuss designs, and check the process for removing the old and fitting the new doors. There was a personal touch throughout, with good communication. The build was completed on time, and the fitting carried out in a day (as promised). The overall price was extremely good value compared with quotes from London companies for less high spec products. So we are very happy, and would definitely recommend Brian, Martin/ The Front Door Shop/ BD Joinery to anyone looking for a new high quality door.

Wow! What an amazing service. Brian was brilliant from start to finish, giving us tips and ideas on what would work well. Nothing was too much trouble and he even came back after the door was all fitted to fit a plinth that he had made as there was a small gap between our hallway floor tiles and the frame of the door. Can’t recommend Brian enough! We are absolutely delighted with the finished product and have had so many compliments on our new door.
