Lough Erne Resort

As you may know from my World-wide reviews, I am generally not very complimentary about Northern Ireland hotels but this one is an exception.A lovely building with adjacent golf course, overlooking beautiful Lough Erne, near where I spent my childhood.Really impressive foyer and super efficient and friendly check in 30 minutes before official time- no problem.The friendly concierge offered to take our bags for us. Again, unusual for Northern Ireland where unasked for porterage is almost unheard of!A snack in the hotel bar for lunch - again really nice sandwiches and a pint of beer, all served with a smile.Room much larger and well amenitised -better than any other hotel we have stayed in in the province. A fridge that worked, a safe, ample power and charge points, great free internet, a Dyson fan in lieu of unnecessary air conditioning, gowns and slippers, all bathroom soaps, shampoos etc and a lovely comfy bed. All this was topped with a turn down service while we were eating dinner. Really on a par with the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere and I have stayed in over 500 hotels around the world in my time.Dinner was in the bar . We decided that, because we were part of a potentially noisy birthday party, it was best to stay away from the more upmarket outlets. Food was rather limited in options and adequate, if not really good. An over dressed Chicken Caesar salad and a rather tasteless rib eye steak being two examples - service was great, as were the cocktails, but we left feeling underwhelmed.Next time we stay in this excellent establishment, we will try another restaurant.Only two tiny complaints - house keeping was beyond reproach except for a badly coffee (?) stained wall - see my photograph and a WHB plug that wouldn’t open or close.Congrats to the management and staff -you run a marvellous hotel and we will stay here again. No doubt about it.

The staff at this hotel/resort are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. A great welcome. We were very early and so checked in before going into Enniskillen. The receptionist phoned us to let us know our lodge was ready (earlier than expected). When we returned a wedding party was booking in and I was waiting in the queue - the receptionist saw me in the queue & called me over to the front to collect my key.

Here on business and I found that the hotel is 5 star in all aspects. Situated on beautiful grounds the inside is equally majestic. Function rooms are spacious and are prewired with projectors. The business centre is co-located and more than willing to help.The staff is beyond 5 stars, lovely people.The food is freshly prepared with a wonderful presentation.Highly recommended.

Absolutely love staying here, one of my favourite Hotels. Food, Rooms, location, golf and Spa is top class. My only issue is hotel customer service, pretty much impossible from the smallest request to room service. This was not just a one off. Unfortunately it put us off staying for a wile. Hoping it's just a staffing issue.

We crossed the border into Fermanagh and went for a meal at the Lough Erne Resort Hotel in their Catalina restaurant.What we experienced went way beyond our expectations. Everything was superb. We had the five course menu. The food was fine dining at its best and the carefully selected wines that accompanied three of the courses were faultless.Service was impeccable and very friendly but not intrusive. They really are lovely people.The setting of the hotel is also stunning. It was expensive but not overly so, considering the supreme quality of the food and service.

Fine dining, Amazing food and friendly but professional local staff. Wonderful experience.Fermanagh people have a very high standard in quality food. This venue couldn't be better, polished, 5 star, Christmas decor was done beautifully, tastefully.The restaurant was classy, a lovely ambient atmosphere, but not loud or brash (nor were the diners).

Stayed at the lodges opposite hotel but in the same grounds. Oh my word,what a beautiful place. went walk over to hotel one evening an the staff (Sarah & Alan) were at reception and I cannot describe how friendly they were. With having children and it being a fancy hotel they made us feel very welcomed and came out to talk to us and Alan showed us around,.Sarah give the children a wee enchantment activity to do,with certificates sitting behind reception for when we done it! They had no call as we weren't staying in the hotel itself,.lovely lovely people. ❤️

Beautiful place, the attention of the staff has been more than wonderful, receptionists, waiters... every single one...Every detail of the decoration made you feel you were in a palace.Amazing food at the restaurant, bar, a lot of variety at breakfast and very fresh.Absolutely outstanding!To say something against this resort is that our stay was too sort ....☺️☺️☺️

Brilliant and professional! I was part of 28 golfers that played in October (I know images look like June, we got a great day). From the start Shane & Michelle in the events team made the process very simple and always on the phone. Breakfast baps lovely, golf course in very good condition even with the amount of rain that fell (buggies a great help). After the golf some of the group were not staying and got food straight away as they came off the course. 14 of us who were staying got sitting together (rugby was on) and food arrived quickly and delicious. Rooms / lodges very nice and breakfast was lovely.

Fermanagh is beautiful.Lodges could with some paint and definitely get rid of cobwebsService was very good in places but the family meal was nowhere close to being decent. Waited an hour to get starter,after waiting another hour for the main didn't have time to eat as I had to bring two sleeping children to the room. Didn't get desert either. Paid for three courses.Went to Spa the next morning only to be treated like a thief when I tried to ask if complementary slippers came in larger size and we were told in no uncertain terms they were only for residents.
