Came to the urgent treatment centre (UTC) for a wound dressing change. I arrived at 09:30 on a Sunday. It was very quiet which is ideal for getting treatment. However, to be seen by the healthcare team, you would first have to be seen by the A&E department. I think this is a faulty system, because I imagine during busy hours the A&E would be extremely busy and therefore my addition of something simple and non life threatening would be quite annoying for them. They would then refer you back to the UTC. Afterwards I was sent to a GP hub location in tower hamlets. Then finally my wound was dressed again.Overall because it was a quiet morning (which I recommend if you want to be seen quickly), I didn’t find it too bothersome.

4 hrs and still waiting. The lady who did my blood pressure looked like she was in a prison trying to break out. Honesty , this place needs a change. There's no welcome according to BartsHealth values. No updates and most people had to go back to work as they couldn't wait any longer. Why is no one doing anything about all the reviews. Simply put a change by installing a monitor to display messages if staff are busy to speak with patients. I have to go back to work as well after asking for a few hours off. I feel sorry for the Elderly people stuck here. I hope I haven't picked up Covid-19 as many people are coughing in this small place. Bring a mask if you're coming here.

I attended the Urgent Treatment Centre at Royal London on the advice of my GP on 4/5/22, regarding a skin infection that I have had for over 2 months. The skin infection had not improved after 2 courses of antibiotics, my GP was concerned and said it needed draining at A&E asap.I waited at A&E for an hour and was then redirected to UTC. The staff who saw me at the Urgent Treatment centre were dismissive. I felt that they couldn't be bothered and had no idea what they were looking at. Also answered a call on their personal mobile phone in the middle of my consultation, as i was undressing. Very poor staff attitude and knowledge. They seem to just want to get patients out as quickly as possible without actually providing treatment.I have since gone back to my GP who confirms it should have been drained, but they are not able to do this at GP surgery.

A joke to be called an Urgent Treatment Centre"- nothing urgent about it. Wait time went from 1 hour to 3 then 4. Doctor's probably got their medical certificates written by hand. Both times I came in (with family members)

Should be 0 stars. Dismissive of patients, it’s filthy, the wait times are as long as 7 hours just to be told to take a paracetamol. What a bright idea, wish I’d thought of that. Absolutely ridiculous. The govt should be ashamed and utterly embarrassed that this is classified as an urgent way to get medical help.

Absolutely disappointed with Urgent care they need to change the name it is no way urgent they make u wait over 3 hours they don’t priories children what so ever! My 9 week baby had chicken pox and they made me wait 3 hours and then the receptionist says I have to wait outside in the cold because my child has chicken pox! I kept explaining it’s already in the air as u made us wait this long what’s the point in me waiting outside now! Something desperately needs to change about these ridiculous waiting time because so many sick people just walk out because the length of waiting time.

Disappointed that I have to post this but I’ve had the most dehumanising experience at the urgent treatment centre. After speaking to 111 regarding stroke like symptoms they called me to say they have booked me into the UCC to be seen urgently. I made my way there and on the way a dr called me again to ensure I was on my way. I arrive and wait 4 hours to be seen, when I am seen the nurse states they can’t do any blood tests at the urgent treatment centre and says the numbness down one side of my body is simply vertigo and prescribed me medication that I’d already picked up from my pharmacy that hadn’t helped. There didn’t seem to be any desire to actually get to the root of the issue and I was brushed aside within five minutes of sitting down. I’ll be booking a private assessment with bupa tomorrow because I’m not willing to risk a potential stroke impeding my life.Wouldn’t advise anyone use this service.

Beware of 111 refering you here saying you have an appointment. I was given a time to come by 111 and was informed on arrival I would just have to wait as if I did not have one.Wait time I was quoted was 6 hours.Other peoples mention of the general uncleanliness, mess and lack of space are all true. Wish I checked the reviews before I travelled.

Urgent medical treatment!?There is nothing Urgent about this place. You'll be waiting for hours on end.Patients who have come after you get seen before you even if you're in pain. It's a lost cause this place!
