In my sincere opinion, the black security guard (I think his name is Matthew) (04/07/23) has a significant attitude problem. Perhaps a giant chip on his shoulder. You're a security guard at a convenience store, Matty. You're not on an SAS mission deep in enemy territory. Take it easy and relax a little.

I really fed up with this shop closing 12-1am every night. When I came at door and black man security said read note and I can see other drunk people is complain and they want beer as the shop were 24 hour open before lockdown.This need STOP closing at 12-1am. Keep open 24 hours.

A life-saver during the lockdowns, but an even bigger and more enduring help due to extremely early/late working hours, the convenience of this store being open 24 hours cannot be overstated or praised enough, they have done and continue to do an exceptional job; great selection of items and some very decent prices, the staff are brilliant - including the security guards, which unfortunately are a necessity as several occasions have provedThe layout of the store is a little awkward especially with the support columns crammed close to the tills, but this can't be helped

Staff are awesome. Shop is okay but for some reason corporate took away the pay point!!? Ridiculous! The shop serves a ton of people why would they remove the ability to get gas and electric? Moronic to say the least even if there's a dispute with kc. Sort it out J.

Not too bad local shop with fair choice of food, however the black security guards need proper training how to do their job! I personally leave about £30 at each shopping and want to use smart shop app with personalized nectar prices, then I'm being followed up by the guards who are watching me phone and basket! Once I've been told to put the items in a basket, not in my bag after scanning them, then in the bag. What's the point using the smart shop then? Or a security literally grabbed the basket from me hands and put it on the till not allowing me to use a self checkout and the app being afraid I won't scan me items!!! Has Sainsbury's reading the reviews about the security guards problem and trying to solve it at all???

24 hours is good no fresh meat today fridge problem...most unfriendly security guard, fat guy with part beard ive lobg given up saying morning to him..other staff all polite and fine other security guard a couple african guys friendly and you actually see patrol the shop......

Have been using this store for years. The only place I know of in Hull that is open 24/7 practically 365 days a year and has 24 hour alcohol sales. Not always the cheapest but competitive on price considering the opening hours and convenience. A really handy store if you need something at an odd hour. Has a small range of most things you might need. Paypoint is available as well which is handy for top ups and payments. Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a pain at busy times.

For the past 9 years, I have regularly done my shopping at this local Sainsbury's and have always been pleased with the service. Today was another example of this. Upon ringing the shop about a missing item, the manager was extremely helpful with identifying and resolving an issue with my online delivery order. I was very impressed by how I was treated as a customer, and the efficiency of the solution. This shop has fantastic staff and management, and I'm grateful for how they went above and beyond expectations for me.

Last bank holiday Monday my friend was having a diabetic attack!! He was very ill and over heating, he was passing Sainsbury's on princess Ave and asked for a can of coke ( he had no money on him) they gave him one and helped greatly, they could of not cared, it's nice to know they did..
