Beautiful building, very quiet location. Food was good. Only downside was the size of our bedroom, it was tiny. Saying that, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. We would go back, but book a bigger room next time.

We went for afternoon tea. Waited for someone to come and wait on us but after 20 mins I had to approach the bar. Not acceptable. It wasn't busy there was only one other table that also wasn't being waited on. Also restrooms were ghastly, really disgusting. I would not reccomend.

Excellent place to visit for a quality meal it could be said it's a bit expensive but I do believe you pay for what you get here... my 5th visit and just as good as my 1st visit.

Lovely, quintessentially charming British hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed delectable dinner and breakfast served by gracious staff. Beautiful and comfortable room, with details like radiant heat in w.c., made for a most wonderful stay.

Had a birthday afternoon tea here, which was lovely. The only issue was that they added 2 glasses of champagne to our bill, but the afternoon tea we chose included champagne. The bill was quickly amended, and apologies were given, so all was OK in the end. but it should not have happened. So I would advise checking your bill.

I am not sure how best to reflect my situation in this rating. The hotel is great: room, restaurant, staff. No issues at all. However, there was one matter that left a rather unpleasant aftertaste. I just arrived home and realised that I have left my electric toothbrush at the hotel. Rang the hotel immediately asking to check the room. They did not call back. I then ran again a few hours later to learn that the housekeeping did not find it in the bathroom. Quite frankly, I find it difficult to imagine how one could not locate it in the bathroom. I would not care too much, but it was an expensive sonicare brush (£200). This was a very surprising outcome, to say the least.

The Old Parsonage is perhaps the BEST Hotel in Oxford. Every aspect was extraordinary. The Staff was wonderful, and the Breakfasts were perfection. If it was possible to surpass the quality of the breakfasts, the Sunday Roast easy did so. I couldn't possibly recommend the Old Parsonage any higher. Do yourself a real favor, stay there, and enjoy every moment.

A really warm welcome by the reception team. they were really helpful as this was my first visit to Oxford. they presented maps, advise on where to go and what to see and full of enthusiasm.on our return, again (different team) were equally enthusiastic to welcome us to our stay.the only disappointment throughout our stay, was there were no slippers! but it really is not a reflection on everything else! The terrace had to be my favourite part. We had dinner and breakfast out there. Kept cosy by superb patio awning (Markilux no less)! with amazing heaters and blankets should we need them. I never wanted to leave! We will be back, thank you all x

I used to be really fond of The Old Parsonage for their restaurant, however, I was a little let down today. There wasn’t the usual warm welcome and we felt somewhat ignored for a while until we were finally greeted. The duck liver parfait did not taste good (I reported it as such to the waitress) and the soup was bland. The scallops, roast beef and crème brûlée were all excellent, fortunately. Nothing knocked off the bill for the uneaten parfait, which was disappointing but we didn’t want to make a fuss. Their round tables for 2 were just a little on the small side. I believe their chef went to their sister restaurant, Gee’s, which I can highly recommend, but I’m sad that I will no longer be recommending this restaurant anymore.

The pictures do not do this hotel justice. No expense is spared in the quality of these rooms. There are custom draperies on the windows and $200 throw pillows on the beds, the linens are phenomenal. It is a magical hotel, the kind of boutique gem that is so hard to find. The dinner is also phenomenal - I lived in Oxford for a year, and I think this may be the best food in town.
