The Royal Horseguards Hotel & One Whitehall Place, London
I had high expectations the Royal Horseguards Hotel with such an amazing locations in a beautiful, regal building. Sadly the interiors and rooms are shabby and desperately in need of upgrade. The staff were friendly and helpful but the grand old Dame of a hotel needs a serious upgrade,. I would not recommend staying here if you are in London there are plenty of better options.

Bought a Groupon voucher for 3 course dining, with a bottle of wine. Had a minor issue booking in but it got sorted. The food was superb, staff were very attentive and interesting. Great experience and a beautiful hotel. Couldn’t afford to stay there unfortunately.

This hotel in London epitomizes timeless elegance. The service team lead by Steve and Raja exhibits unparalleled professionalism, catering to guests' needs with grace and attentiveness. Under astute management, the hotel maintains its historic charm while seamlessly integrating modern amenities. Steeped in history, this establishment was once used by the Secret Intelligence Service during World War I, adding a captivating allure to its ambiance. Whether for its historical significance, exceptional service, or luxurious accommodations, this hotel is a quintessential choice for a remarkable stay in London.Recommend 10/10!

They made a refund error and then 3 weeks later tried to take 3 times the amount with zero communication from a card. Poor service and quite frankly unacceptable. 3 Star hotel at best, good food but everything is very dated and certainly not 5 star. Don't be tricked into paying for a room thinking you'll get 5 star service, because you just won't. Not worth it, book elsewhere.

We had this hotel booked through Costco Travel and it exceeded our expectations from the start. Luxurious hotel, full of rich history, great location near Trafalgar Square, the River Thames, London Eye and lots of other site-seeing locations if you are able to walk. Just around the corner from pubs, restaurants and souvenir shops, on the bus line as well. The front desk staff that greeted us were very professional and helpful as was a young concierge we quickly became attached to named Roberts" who was so helpful to us with directions

Just stayed here for a week for my honeymoon and enjoyed every second! Location is amazing for sightseeing and is a few minutes walk from the Embankment tube station that can take you anywhere else! The room was clean and well appointed, bed was comfy, AC was cold and the shower was hot! The heated floors and heated towel rack were a nice addition to the bathroom. We also ordered room service for breakfast and dinner and both were delicious! I have zero complaints and would happily stay again!

We had an excellent time at the Royal Horseguards Hotel. The rooms are well appointed but on the small side, it is an older style building with a historical past that new builds can't offer. For breakfast there was an excellent array of food with little wanting. Staff were very attentive and sometimes too eager to take your plate. It's walking distance to many great tourist attractions,Big BenParliament HouseLondon EyeWestminster AbbeyNelson's columnAnd even New Scotland YardEtc etc.A short two minute walk to the Hop on Hop off bus.Loads of cafe's, restaurants the tube and various shops. When we're back in London we will certainly stay here again.

I went with some family for festive afternoon tea two days ago and it was such a lovely experience, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Gonsalo was so welcoming and gave us great service as soon as we walked through the door, Tanya also looked after our table really well, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel. Hamia was welcoming and friendly and upgraded our room to the Waterloo Suite. This room was phenomenal with spectacular views of the Thames and London Eye. Every member of staff we spoke to were friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. The breakfast was great and had a good range of choices to suit everyone. The hotel is in a central location with Charring Cross and the Embankment stations around the corner. All in all a perfect stay!

This is an absolutely stunning hotel set in a prime location of London. With tons of eateries, shops, and major tourist spots within walking distance as well as embankment station being a 2 minute walk away, it surprisingly offers a quiet and calm atmosphere to return to each night. Their high tea was wonderful despite my skepticism about dining in the hotel. However, for being a 5 star hotel, I do have some complaints following our recent stay. We paid around $1300 for 3 nights and booked a Deluxe King Room. While the room itself was up to standards, our “king bed” was 2 small beds pushed together which obviously leaves an uncomfortable gap in the middle. The front desk offered little to no resolution as they were fully booked and sent maintenance to do their best to make the gap less uncomfortable. This just seems like an unacceptable way to host guests and is in ways a false advertisement for what we paid for. The complimentary water and 2 sodas are nice, but 4 additional waters and a couple more sodas sent to us was €56. It was also hard to reach the front desk at times.Overall, this hotel is an absolutely stunning old English style accommodation. I just wish the value for money matched.
