Medichem Pharmacy - Alphega Pharmacy

I have been using this pharmacy since 1977 when my first child was born. The staff are extremely helpful and I get my annual flu jab here. I have asked here about minor ailments and had good advice and they can prescribe for a short time for these conditions. They refer you to your GP if they think it necessary. Recently, when the supermarket was out of pasta they had a supply!We find them a valuable resource in our neighbourhood.

I set up a repeat prescription service at this pharmacy over two weeks ago for husband and myself. Last Wednesday I went into the pharmacy and ordered two items; I was assured by the lady, who served me, that my items would be available the following Tuesday. I phoned on the Tuesday morning to see if my items were ready and I was abruptly told that they had no record of me at that pharmacy and that my order had not been put in! I explained to the less than helpful assistant on the phone that I am pregnant and have kidney disease so it was essential I had the medication. He told me the pharmacy was unable to help me despite their error. I then had to go to my doctors and explain the situation. The receptionist told me that this chemist is utter chaos and they have had a number of complaints! Terrible, terrible service. I’ll definitely be using a different pharmacy!

I have used Medichem Pharmacy on Harrogate Road for over 17 years and I have always found the staff very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble.Not only do I get my repeat prescriptions regularly but each year I have my flu injection as it is so much easier than making an appointment at the doctors.Can't quite believe the bad reviews as I have always had excellent service.

Rudest pharmacy staff I’ve encountered. The pharmacy manager made inappropriate comments about my prescription and the cost of it for them to order. I changed pharmacy due to the unprofessionalism and attitude of staff.

Been using this pharmacy for 10+ years. Generally get my prescriptions from here. Occasionally there has been system and/communication issues between surgery and pharmacy but usually been resolved relatively swiftly.Received my flu jab from here this year as they had stock and availability plus flexibility to accommodate me. Was only there five minutes tops!

I have been with Medichem for 30yrs and they have been the best but these past few months not good at all prescriptions not delivered on time and been told they have not ordered them at the Drs because we have to call Medichem now when we are running down and tell them as not doing it anymore!! I replied it would have been nice to have known this before so you are not left without important medication to take!!! It has gone down In my opinion!

Absolutely no clue this chemist don’t send ya txt messages out nobody knows what there doing or talking about staff needs changing very bad customer service very difficult everytime I go need to have manners on the phone too all in all the worst chemist I have been to ever

I've been using this pharmacy for years now. I've always found them to be very helpful and knowledgable. I've noticed whilst waiting for my prescriptions, that Sarah has a really nice manner especially when looking after older customers. Highly recommended.

Such rude and difficult staff. Not willing to accept an electronic copy of a medical exemption card (since the medical card has not been posted yet) just because it has no start date. It’s obvious they have no understanding of the system/rules. Poor communication!!Worse off they tell me to ring 0300 nhs number to get the refund once card has arrived. However helpline advised refunds can be given till 3 months of purchase.They are unreal, never had such experiences with any other pharmacies before. Just ridiculous.i will never use this pharmacy again.
