It's a lovely walk not too long r too short. The dogs loved it. But at one side there is gates very close to a road so just be careful with your dogs. Maybe put them on a lead for that bit.

Loved it!beautiful walk.paths ranging from rough,to smooth and through trees in places. you get to experience being in the country, but also feels a bit like being in the mountains,as theres some steep and rough treks.brilliant place!

The Estate is improving facilities all the time. A new defibrillator is being installed and the woods are improving. General advice to stay on paths and keep dogs on leads is followed by most walkers but not everyone is considerate.

Nice short circular walk 2.9km...just a pity it wasn't a lot longer.

Enjoyable walk and wildlife but a decent level of fitness and mobility is required. We regularly walk here and would recommend it for a visit because of the varied terrain, birdlife and history. However it is not suitable for those with mobility issues because it is steep in parts, has sets of steps and is uneven underfoot. In winter it is very muddy in parts too.In Spring the displays of bluebells and primroses are very nice. There are two historic ringforts too. They are Johnston's Fort and Coolnacran Ringfort.Littering isn't too bad although dog fouling near the entrance is frequently an issue. The main woodland is closed sometimes for archery competitions so check online before visiting. However it is still possible to walk around the perimeter of the estate.

Very popular with dog walkers, many of which don't clear up after them. Can get very boggy and slippery in places. Very small car park. Circular walk. No toilet facilities. Some benches and dog waste bins.
