Great cheap parking, £2 for 4 hours was perfect. Good open space.

The road surface here is a joke. With the money from parking WHY hasn't the council fixed this????

We have our monthly out of season meet ups here. 10 mins walk is Hollingworth lake. Have only drove past the lake never actually had a walk round it.

Car park full of deep potholes full of water. Main car park very busy. No spaces. Nice cafe half way round the lake. Enjoyed the walk.

Seriously needs some work doing - upon entry there's a bit of a 'trench' that scrapes the undercarriage of your car if you're not lucky enough to spot it.Plenty of pot holes (or pot caverns) that when filled with water are quite dangerous as you can't tell how deep they are.Rochdale council - get on it please! You take money from people to park on here but it is far from safe.

Parking machine card only not good go back to money

Potholes so big they will damage your car. If you are paying by card the machine takes forever.

Stony car park situated less than a minutes walk from Hollingworth Lake. Prices are fair (see photo of signage). Make sure you obey the no entry signs when finding the entrance as there are those little metal traps in the ground that will damage your car if you try to drive over them in the wrong direction. Previous reviews mention huge potholes - these have now been filled in with tarmac as can be seen on my photo, so it is fairly decent ground now (at the time of writing - Oct '22). There are a few smaller dips but nothing that will damage your car unless you are driving like a maniac. Payment is cash or card depending which machine you use (there are two here).Update Feb 2023: the aforementioned potholes are again starting to increase in size but are avoidable and not a major concern at the moment but I imagine they will need filling again at some point this year!

Great place for a walk or run, which is what I did a nice jog/run around the lake
