Public Art: The Eye
Fantastic wee walk around Black Loch to The Eye, an art sculpture made of stone towering at the side of the Loch. Nice surprise to come across having read about it online.

No car access, but a nice walk from car park. The road to the car park is not tarmac

Very nice, gentle walk on a firm surface around the Black Loch. There's The Eye sculpture near the western end of the loch by Colin Rose. It was erected in 1997 as part of the Art in the Galloway Forest Park project. Well worth a visit. There's a car park near the eastern part of the loch. The access road to (off the A712) it is a bit rough and bumpy but you don't need a 4x4 to get there.
