Great walk. Castle little overgrown but can get access with care. Could be better signposted

Was a pleasant short stroll but hadnt realised that in order to do the complete walk you would have to walk through a field of cows. Not ideal when i had both of my dogs so we just had to turn back at the gate and head back to the car. Will try again another time.

My first visit, it was super. Car park close to entrance to Hight Castle walk. The walk is about 5 Kms. Pretty mixed terrain. Maintained paths in general. Bit muddy towards the river side, wellies a good choice if it's been raining a lot.Woods, castle ruins, picnic spots, river side trail, steep steps but we'll maintained.Great visit, took the dogs- they had a ball!

Lovely walk to castle and along the river just spoilt by a some dog walkers not picking up their dogs mess or if they do throwing the bags into trees or bushes near carpark.Other than that a nice walk for the whole family.

Car park is absolutely fine, itmust have been resurfaced recently. No major holes and no litter! Decent amount of spaces for parking and one at the end would suit a bus

Was busy when we went with families getting out for post dinner festive fresh air. Good walk for all, although a few hills etc so not ideal for anyone who has difficulty walking and a couple muddy patches you need to skirt or jump. Car park disappointingly full of litter, be excuse really as there's a bin in the car park.
