Sam at Mears and Cotterill was incredibly professional and courteous in dealing with all our needs. She was extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much much. She, and everyone at Mears and Cotterill, was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Mears and Cotterill as a funeral director.

We cannot thank you, and your team, enough for helping us to give Ken a lovely personal send off on Wednesday. Despite the small group in attendance, each was there out of a desire to be there, and not out of a duty, and all felt he was remembered for the character he was, and that he would have approved of what was achieved.From the sensitivity, professionalism and friendliness of the two staff members who collected Ken on 25th September, to your own amazing coordination of everything, guiding me through the process, and Tony and his team looking after us on the day, each and every one of you were superb.Once again, thank you.

This was my first experience of organising a funeral. Sam was amazingly responsive and understanding on our first call. She guided me through various options and made some great suggestions for the service. Tony led the procession expertly on the day. I greatly valued their support.

Can't Thank The team at Mears and Cotterill enough, especially Sam Taplin and Tony.Contacted Sam a few weeks before our Dad passed away and enquired about funeral plans.Sam kindly emailed details over and from the start she was absolutely fantastic.Sam was there for my family and I Every step of the way and stepped in and sorted things out when we experienced a few problems with paperwork.Arranging the funeral was made so much easier as Sam was on hand to listen to what Dad had requested and offered help and advice from talking to the priest to just being on the end of the phone whenever we needed to discuss options.Our Dad was treated with Dignity and Respect whilst being looked after and that was a huge comfort for my family and I.Tony was absolutely brilliant and really made a very Sad day go smoothly.Kind, respectful and made us as a family really involved with Laying our Dad to rest.My sister and I along with Tony led the Funeral procession as Tony kindly offered my sister and I to walk with him as our dad was taken to church and that was such a wonderful kind gesture to be able to lead dad to his final resting place.Cant thank you All enough for your help and support.You do an amazing job and on behalf of my family I Thank you.Jackie

Your service from first contact to the funeral and after was excellent and always respectful of my Mum whose funeral it was . Everyone was professional and very helpful. Tony and his team on the day of the funeral were very professional but also friendly and easy to communicate with and great with their guidance. The person i had most contact with was Sam in the office, i cannot praise her enough. She is thoroughly professional but with such a friendly and helpful manner. It was honestly like dealing with a friend and she made things so much easier to deal with and her organisation skills are fabulous. She is also a great support if that is needed. She could not do enough for me and without her the funeral would have taken a lot longer to get sorted out because we had delays. It was Sam who got to the reason why it was happening and got the ball rolling again. She is absolutely lovely and a star and a joy to deal with, nothing is too much trouble for her, and she is a huge asset to your company So i would highly recommend your company and service to anyone. This company gave a 5-star service for my mother's funeral. Sam the funeral arranger was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was very professional, informative and extremely helpful. When we experienced a few problems with things we were trying to arrange independently of Mears and Cotterill Sam stepped in to help and things were quickly resolved. The team at Mears & Cotterill were excellent from start to finish when caring for my late Grandad. Sam in particular was so helpful and empathic and couldn't do enough for my family. The M&C team on the day of my grandad's funeral were excellent also. They talked us through each step and made sure everyone was ok. Thank you for such a great & professional service!

When my beloved father died in August 2021,we went to his local funeral director Mears and Cotterill in Merton Rd Wandsworth to arrange his funeral. We used these directors for our beloved mother too.They are amazing from start to finish.Sam is amazing, professional, kind and caring and dad was treated like a king by the whole team. Sam our Funeral arranger was magnificent, caring, sympathetic, organised and always there at the end of the phone when needed.I would highly recommend and cannot praise enough. Also Sam's colleague Tony who lead our service was highly respectable, compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure our service on the day run smoothly, on time and made a heartfelt gesture that made us all smile at the end of such a sad day.Sam and Tony were impeccable and I cannot praise them enough.Very special people.
