Took my dog for a teeth clean today, excellent communication before appointment. On time and great value ended up being cheaper than quoted. Brilliant job on his teeth they now look amazing and only needed one visit. Would definitely recommend and will be telling all my dog owner friends. Thank you for a great job.

Lexi my cockerpoo was so scared of going to the grommers until I met Jo, what a fantastic lady, Lexi always looks beautiful after her cut and no more stress for her or me. Highly recommended.

We take both our Spaniels to Jo who we have been using for many years. We have always been totally satisfied with her grooming & care of the dogs.It is most reassuring to know that when you leave one of your loved pets with Jo that they are getting the best care from a totally professional person. Jo is knowledgeable, professional and caring. My 12-yr old Schnauzer looks and smells great, but more importantly she looked happy and relaxed when I collected her. I will be using this service in the future and have already booked my next appointment.

Jo has been grooming indi for over 2 years now, he always comes out looking really special, I know when I leave him he will be treated kindly and taken great care of.Jo has a lovely way with him and is patient with me to, because Indi is not a pacific breed I have a a few things that need to be done in a certain way.Teddy bear face , don't cut the tail to short, I don't like square ears, she makes careful notes every time I go and makes sure indi is looking the bees knees when he comes home.I have no hesitation in recommending Jo for grooming or dental, yes indi had his teeth cleaned too, I have to say I was wondering how this would be , but he came out smiling with beautiful white teeth.For my part I always make sure I groom indi at home regularly in between visits to make sure his coat is free of tangles.Thank you Jo , for what you do and the excellent advice along the way.Phyl Gamblin

Its taken me a year to write this because I hate leaving bad reviews but feel strongly about about sharing my opinion.+1 star because the teeth clean was fantastic+1 star because Jo's knowledge seemed great and nail clipping good-1 star because I explained prior to booking that this would be for a newly rescued and nervous greyhound who wouldn't of experienced this type of groom before and there was no extra time allowed to get to know/ fuss the dog make sure the dog was comfortable - I only mention this because every other groomer, walker, vet/ nurse has done this since. As I was picking up the dog I could hear lots of 'STOP IT! DOWN! STOP!' - unsure if this was at my dog or another but it sounded like chaos in there and not a calm environment I want for my dog.-1 because she came home with a large bruise on her chest. Explained 100 times this was for a greyhound if you pick up a greyhound correctly then the bruising wouldn't have occurred. Yes she is a large dog but if one/ two people cannot carry/lift or have the equipment to do so then do not accept the booking. To pick up a greyhound your arm should go under theirs and another arm scoops up their bum. No bruising of the chest should occur. Our new groomer has a hydraulic table for specifically for large dogs.-0.5 (can't do half stars sadly so I'm generously leaving an extra star) because the flowery fragrant smell of the products used was absolutely not to my taste and overpowering for days afterwards and considering a dogs sense of smell is heightened I can't imagine it was pleasant for her.I explained it was my nervous rescue dog's first groom and its important that any first time experience for a rescue dog (and owner) is a good one as it can disrupt the dogs confidence and development so therefore if you have a rescue greyhound I would advise finding somewhere else.

I've used this dog grooming service for a few years now after my last groomer had to retire. I'm impressed with Jo's professional approach in providing a quality service for dogs and owners. My dog is quite nervous but is happy to see and be left with Jo and I've always been more than satisfied with the results. I have no hesitation in recommending Stamford Dog Grooming to other besotted dog owners like myself!

This is the second time I have taken Tessa my cocker spaniel to jo. And jo and her helper has done a beautiful job on my little baby. Thank you so much. See you soon xx
