Many extremely overpaid people. Paid to do nothing, just walk around with a clipboard or click a few buttons, for more than minimum wage. Some are also rude - I suppose their wage went to their head. They'll cancel your appointment several times in a row or call you for 1.5 seconds and hang up before you can answer. People in other offices or in warehouses make less. Not made to help people find work - the government just pay private companies (Restart) millions to pretend to improve people's prospects, the companies make profit from keeping people in cycles of low-end work. Similar corruption to PPE contracts in 2020 or the G4S shambles in hospitals and prisons.Few good staff eg guy called Russell with glasses, good person. But the system is broken, so they can't do much.

I went there today and I have nothing but praise for the staff who are wonderful. I imagine at times, people blame them for things that they have no control over. I’ve spent the last 6 years living somewhere where there is no benefits system. We are so lucky to live in the UK.

The staff are dim-witted, incompetent, bored and rude. Security stand around with their mouths hanging open, piddling around on their mobile phones. The reception area is a particularly unpleasant arena of hostile, bored employees. It is impossible to speak to any one member of staff: while you speak at reception the others who are standing around just stare at you. They don't know where forms are, they don't know what they're doing, and they don't care.

Not my appointment my HusbandsThought the staff were pleasant was only in there 10 minutesThe overzealous Security need some training in manners .As two people that have never been in a job centre in there life I felt the way we were spoken to by the security was extremely Arrogant walking into a building that you have no idea about to be stopped quite rudely to be told You Go there !A reception desk with a sign at the back of it saying Citizens advice, I made a comment to my Husband that the desk on the left might be for Citizens advice to be again Rudely interrupted No there’s no citizens advice this is the Job centre ? My mistake so I explained that the sign was a little misleading?? I had to give my Husband appointment details twice & pass 5 security men that looked at you like you had just crawled from under a rock .Overall experience Not very pleasant at all.

Do you often call people on withheld numbers and then tell a person's Son that an interview was cancelled when they never had one in the first place, the person didn't even explain what the interview was for? No letter was received about any interview, you should have it on your system that I'm agoraphobic so how would you like me to attend the interview then? I can't go into busy/crowded areas or on buses, are you going to pay for the taxi, plus my Son comes everywhere with me. No compassion or empathy for sick people, in fact no empathy or compassion for well people, you treated my Son like he was a bit of poo as well, you never helped him to get a job and was trying to send him miles away when he'd have to get a bus.. Really wish I had the money to take care of myself so I didn't have to claim these benefits. You cause so much unwanted stress for people.

Most of the staff the I've dealt with have been really nice and helped try and sort any problems I've had quickly. I think the management need to sort some training out as 4 advisers I spoke to didn't have a clue about what organizations are connected to job centre plus to give help to people if I hadn't done my research I wouldn't be starting work and now they say their funding as been cut. Its not the advisor's fault its the bunch of inbred idiots running this country.

I only put 1 because it won’t let me put it lower than this but so you know I would have picked -10 for the lack of help the lack of professionalism and the complete disregard for people’s safety that is job centre plusAnd I wasn’t in last week I was in today Monday 18th December they stopped my payment without warning 10 days before Christmas so while most are spending time with loving relatives people like me are starving this Christmas which doesn’t make for a happy new year
