Very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend here for any car troubles and MOTs, cheap prices too. Sam helped us with our headlights with no extra charges and gave us great advice. 10/10.

I booked and paid for an MOT via the Halfords website 2 weeks before the MOT took place at Halfords Autocentre Bishop’s Stortford, once the MOT was complete and I arrived to collect the vehicle I was told that the MOT needs to be paid for.Despite showing proof that the MOT was already paid for online by showing the manager my Bookings and Orders as well as a confirmation email from Halfords (clearly showing the amount paid and the amount left to pay £0.00) I was told that the MOT still needs to be paid for because that’s what the system is saying.I paid again for the same MOT and after calling customer service they quickly checked the system, saw that the MOT was already paid for online prior to the test date and issued a refund. I am still waiting for this refund to show in my bank account.I feel like the staff require training to understand that customers can book and pay for an MOT online in advance and shouldn’t have to pay again because of their system. There is also the unnecessary inconvenience of waiting a few weeks for a refund

***AVOID THIS PLACE***My experience at this Halfords location was nothing short of unpleasant and unprofessional, mainly due to George, the front-desk staff member.I visited for a free five-point check, and right from the start, George seemed judgmental and asked why I wanted it. I explained that I had an upcoming MOT appointment the following day, to which he responded with a dismissive shrug, rolled his eyes, and told me that the five-point check wouldn't be of any help for the MOT.The real trouble came when I returned the next day for my MOT. It failed due to a wheel frame fracture, which was understandable. George instructed me to get it fixed and return within 10 working days for a free retest. However, when I contacted the service department later to confirm the procedure and schedule the retest, George rudely answered the phone and impatiently informed me that there was no need to book; I should just call them right before coming in for the retest.The very next day, I got the wheel fixed and called Halfords in the morning as instructed. To my surprise, a different staff member answered and told me that I needed to book a retest and that the earliest appointment available was a week away. He also mentioned that George had provided incorrect information, which was not the first time he had done so.In the end, I decided to take my business elsewhere and successfully passed my MOT at another facility. I have no intentions of returning to this Halfords branch due to the abysmal service I received from George. It's baffling to see that he has been receiving negative reviews for years, yet he still retains his position here.

Had a puncture on way to the airport so booked a slot and ordered a tyre for the car to be fitted on return home. The manager and staff gave exceptional service fitting us in earlier than expected and received helpful advice about the car from the Manager and fitter. Shame this branch isn't our local. Recommended. Thanks for saving the day.

Be very careful using this branch or halfords. Car MOT'd which failed on parking break efficiency. Retested sameday elsewhere and passed. I'm guessing they need MOT'S to fail to be converted into work for them. Head office pressure for income or dodgy technician. They also told me brakes needed replacing at previous service earlier in year. When changed were not as bad as they stated. The staff are WAF and creepy and definitely saw me as a vulnerable mother with 2 small children. Do not trust! Do not use!

Superb customer service and approach to the respective service I took my car in for. George in particular, managed to turn things around faster than I could have asked for or expected. I'm truly thankful for his thoughtfulness and will definitely be returning back!

Had an issue accessing my headlight, called up and a young man said he'd try help me. 5 minutes later, I've got a new bulb in and the mechanic has a sore hand from accessing the stupidly inaccessible headlight. Wouldn't even let me pay, 5/5 will go back.

Booked my tyres to be done the night before via online. Took in my vehicle to be met by some abrupt /rude member of staff on the front desk. Was the 1st time I've ever used Halfords and would be the last if this is how customers are treated. Wouldn't recommend

Friendly, helpful and professional service, reassuring as a woman going into a car garage that you'll be looked after, and not ripped off :)
