The Croft Hotel

Me and my now husband had our wedding reception here at the croft on the 19/08/23 and it was amazing! Mellissa and Callum were really helpful, reassuring and kept everything perfect, all the staff are kind! Highly recommend the croft hotel for weddings it's magical! Thankyou so much

Absolutely stunning venue. The ceremony room is so unique and dramatic, almost like your very own catwalk. I didn't get a chance to dine in or have drinks this time (though I regularly dine at their sister venues and the food is always gorgeous), but the space for this felt cosy and inviting, so I cant wait to go back. The outdoor area has fire pits and a gorgeous water feature too.

Stayed here looking to get a good night's sleep before work. On arrival I realised that the hotel had been booked for a wedding with wedding guests all over the hotel you felt like you was gatecrashing! Requested a room away from the after party as it's an old 2 story building. Reception told me they moved me away from the noise but currently laid in bed what can only be described as trying to sleep above a nightclub at midnight. I understand weddings are held here but why are the hotel advertising non refundanle rooms right above where they know guests will not get any sleep?!

Went a couple of days for a friends wedding, fantastic experience, rooms and service provided was worth every pound and price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking.

Our family recently celebrated my husband's retirement with a surprise get-together at The Croft Hotel. The Hotel's wonderful staff went up and beyond to provide all we requested to make this a memorable occasion. Along with the delicious food served, it was a celebration that my husband, and indeed all the family, will always remember.

I have stayed at the Croft a number of times with work and have always been surprised when I'm told its a 3 star hotel.The look and feel of the hotel from when you arrive to when you go to your room feels more like a 4 star.The rooms are always comfortable and clean with great bathrooms.I have always found staff to be helpful and friendly from check-in, to the bar and restaurant staff. Nothing has ever been too much trouble.The food is also amazing and that in itself always gets 5 stars from me.This hotel is a real gem and I always look forward to staying. Whether you are a solo traveller, couple, family or pet owner - the Croft has something to offer.I would recommend The Croft hotel to anyone.

Myself and my husband got married at The Croft on 01.07.2023. We were blessed to be the very first wedding to be held in the newly renovated venue, with the existing Croft Team and the staff from The Apartment Group coming together since taking over the hotel.I cannot stress enough how absolutely perfect our wedding day was. The staff couldn't do enough for us, every single attention to detail was paid from the night before through to the very end of our celebrations. They really do go above and beyond and make you their priority from start to finish. We had continuous contact with Jamie in the run up to our day; again nothing was too much of an ask. We felt in such good hands from start to finish.The venue itself is beyond breath taking, we have never seen anything like it before or since - our guests were taken aback by how beautiful the décor was throughout and this is something we keep hearing when we see friends and family. The chapel is out of this world - see for yourself and you'll think the same.I absolutely have to give a mention of the members of staff who really stood out to us; who helped make our day one of the best days of our lives:Ester, Melissa, Jamie (The Apartment Group) and John (Master of Ceremonies) who is one of the most lovely people we have ever met - these people, amongst all of the staff within the venue, are genuinely brilliant at their jobs and we feel incredibly lucky to of had such a fantastic wedding team behind our day.The day ran so smoothly, every potential stress was taken away from us - which is so important on the day, every single detail and finishing touch was considered and delivered upon.Thank you to everyone at The Croft for making our day so special, we'd give anything to do it all over again!Please take it from the first people to marry here - you will not be disappointed if you pick The Croft for your wedding.Thank you so much from both myself and my husband

I stayed here for three nights on a work trip. The service in all areas (reception, breakfast, bar) was excellent with nice friendly staff. The restaurant is good with a selection of typical pub food plus specials. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. My only criticism is that you can hear the TV/music being played in surrounding rooms… which was annoying with a neighbour who kept odd waking hours!

We had a wedding show round with Calum and he was great, really took an interest in our day and was very knowledgeable, the best service we have received at a show round so far!

Absolutely fantastic! My best friend had a wedding yesterday! Melissa and callum and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure her big day was as good as it was!! Thank you so much!!!
