Moffat Camping and Caravanning Club Site

What a nice area. Moffat site is well situated to walk into the town on an evening or mooch around during the day(Moffat is one of those places you drive past on the way to somewhere. We'll stop and have a look around.) The site is level easily accessible and the. wardens are very helpful and keep the site spotless.

It's my first visit at the Moffat camping and caravanning club site. It's a very well looked after site and the facilities are all spotlessly clean. staff are a very friendly bunch.

Really nice site with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Received a really warm welcome from the staff who were really friendly and helpful with ideas for the surrounding area (despite the fact they themselves were new to the site). Facilities were spotlessly clean and warm and plenty big enough. Very dog friendly site with designated dog walking areas. Would definitely stay here again.

First time visiting ( and definitely won't be our last) beautiful campsite , spotless toilets/ showers. Friendly staff - they even take you to your plot , which we've not experienced before. 5 minutes walk to Moffat.

Great site within Moffat town. Nice flat spacious pitches with excellent facilities that were spotlessly clean. Booking and checking in process was easy and the staff were very helpful.A good location to use as a base to explore the area. The town itself is small with some great little pubs and eateries. Only stayed the one night in the campervan but will be coming back for longer next year

Wondered about the facilities as there was only one building but 180 plots but no problem at all. It is very convenient for the co-op and the pubs in town. Loved it. It was too hot to do all the walking we wanted to do but wonderful none the less.

Nice and quiet site despite being very popular. A stone's throw from the the lovely town of Moffat.As a bonus, just two minutes along the path at the back of the site is a nice little cafe.

Great location for the site with plenty of walks from the site and close to the Village. Some really great walks and looks like some great bike rides. One toilet block and as with all camping and caravan sights closed for two hours cleaning with no alternative. Toilets and showers were clean as you would expect but water was only warm in the showers and not hot with no way to adjust. The first night there was a loud group of people all night until 4am and no one from the site told them to be quiet. There was also a feral white cat that came in our van looking for food and then proceeded to go around most peoples vans. Some people were feeding it and encouraging it. Not the camp sites fault but it’s going to be attacked by a dog or end up in someone’s van who is allergic to cats so needs to be moved on. Polite friendly staff but the noise from load people means a 1 star reduction.Edit from visit in July 2023.Cat gone. Absolutely quiet site no loud groups and considering the site was full very very quiet site.Water temperature in showers nice and hot.Toilet block now opens a family room when cleaning the toilet block.The one star deduction given back now 5*

A really nicely set out, well kept site with friendly, helpful staff and a beautifully clean, huge toilet block. The site is well placed for access to the town and shops and there plenty of good walks for dogs as well as a decent dog area on the site where you are able to let them off for a bit of tennis ball chasing! We've really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. We will definitely be back.
