The Brooksteed
By far, the best place to drink, meet new people and relax. Great bunch behind the bar, great selection of craft beers and wine. Dog friendly, perfectly located. 10/10.

Relaxed atmosphere, lovely cold beer, cider and cocktails as the hot evening sun set, quick service. Sat outside under light laden shelter. Great place for a after work, got very busy as evening drew on.

Superb micropub & a MUST VISIT. Beautifully furnished & decorated. Lovely intimate, warm feeling inside. Obviously good selection of specialist beers, ales etc. All the information of available drinks displayed on LCD screen just inside door.

Nice quirky place with inside and outside areas. Decent local small brewery beers on tap.

My first visit in many years. When I last visited, it had just been converted from a hair dressers shop and there were still the hoods from hair driers hanging above seats. Great to see it has matured and is thriving still. Most important thing to say, I enjoyed the beer and will happily return in the future. It was quite busy, but easy enough to get a seat outside. The service was a little slap dash, but improved when more staff arrived later.

A quirky little pub just a short distance walk from the train station with a great selection of beers and excellent service. Shame we couldn't have spent more time there but somewhere I'd return next time I'm in town.

Fabulous place, definitely very community-focused as well as being welcoming to travelling Football Away fans. And for food - try the amazing sausage rolls from the bakery next door - who will even deliver them to you in the pub!
