Very good, staff helpful and knowledgeable, excellent range of equipment for my motor home at good prices.Well worth a visit if you're into outdoor activities.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experiences at Go Outdoors Swindon have been consistently disappointing.The store's manager near the entrance has been consistently unhelpful, opting to watch queues form instead of assisting at the checkouts. Not only did she blame her own staff for the queues, but she also exhibited exceptional rudeness the one time we accidentally exited through the entrance.Frustratingly, the store has numerous pricing issues, with many prices not being updated. To speed up the process at the till, we always take photos of the products on the shelves along with their prices and have the online price open on the phone.The waiting time for shoes is also excessively long, and it's usually only after inquiring about multiple pairs that they have one available in a size 9.It's evident that the staff's working conditions are less than ideal. When approached for assistance, they often express their inability to help due to fears of getting in trouble for leaving their designated sections.I would appreciate if the management could enrol in a course in common sense and manners.

Huge store with good stock of multiple activity areas. Got what I came for, in summary they have wide array of fishing gear, decent bike area, huge array of tents and camping gear, some water activity, large array of clothing and footwear. Nearly got lost inside. Good to see this site updated this way.

This store is amazing, I'm only sad they closed our Reading store. Tents are on special price.There are lots of products for an affordable price, for fishing, cycling, walking.....

Nice meet and greet. Great explanation of the types of gas and their usage. Bought butane with discount and a card for future purchases.

Staff extremely friendly. A world of goodies for every outing. If anyone remembers the theme to toys r us go outdoors certainly stepped in. A magical place

This is a nice big store and the staff are generally great. But the store or shift manager (Kate) is incredibly rude.I bought a faulty tent, found it’s faulty at time of setting up, called customer services and they told me not to worry about it, gave me a reference number and told me to return it when I get back to Swindon.That was nice. Or so I thought. The product was faulty but we could rig up something and thought we’d have no issues when we returned it.Walked in the store this morning, there’s 6 staff stood there and the store manager said can they help, I said I have a faulty tent and want to return it for a refund, Kate said they don’t accept faulty tents. Partly it was her tone and partly it was that the customer services people had set my expectations in contradiction of this new advice. She also said ‘I can’t believe you want to argue at 9am’ to which I responded ‘that is exactly how I feel’She then walked away, leaving her team members to assist me.Now, it is only fair to say that the rest of the Swindon team that I interacted with on this day couldn’t do more to help me. They we polite, they understood where I was coming from, they explained that there are issues with the central customer services team over-promising because they aren’t the ones that have to face the customer at the end of the day. To be frank, I think the other team members were equally surprised by how quickly the managers interaction with me turned sour.I am very displeased with the store manager and the GO outdoors chain, I’ve had 3 phone calls with customer services as a result of this experience, 2 telling me they see no issue and confirming I should be able to get a refund as it was faulty and 1 telling me that as we used the tent (on their advice) that we cannot return it for a refund even if there is a faulty part.

Travelled a little distance to this store to see what it was like and we were NOT disappointed. Walked in the door and was greeted by smiling staff. Massive range of stock in store. Spoke to a guy about tents (sorry didn’t get your name) and how we hadn’t camped for a few years and he went above and beyond to answer any questions we had and gave some good advice. Had a browse around and saw an air tent advertised on special offer but none on shop floor so asked a staff member called Mat if they had any stock left again went above and beyond to go and check out the back and to our delight found some more stock. Overall very happy with layout and stock of the store and all staff members were friendly and helpful. Will definitely travel here again. Well done.
