I've eaten at other Wetherspoon locations but I suppose this one was by far the worst of them. We've ordered 6 oz American Burger and Pizza Margarita. The meat in the burger might have felt turtured. We almost broke our teeth. The patties were so dry and crispy, not juicy at all. The only delicious thing was the drink for which it was not produced in here. It's an embarressment for the restaurant and insult to the customers. Shame on them. I would never recommend anyone to eat in here.

The Regal is a very large and fairly comfortable JD Wetherspoon pub in the city centre of Cambridge. It covers two spacious levels. Food is streamlined JDW grub, but well presented and cheap, as are the beers. Prices have increased here, too, but it's still the cheapest food & drinks option in town. Altogether a fairly superior pub of its kind.

Another lovely Wetherspoons.. (and surprisingly the only one in Cambridge City)It stills has the Cinema feel, and plenty of information within detailing historical facts. There is a big screen (previously watched the Grand National) which is fab.Be warned.. it can get very busy and extremely loud on football match days. We wondered why there was such a huge Police presence. Whilst it was busy and loud, there was no trouble, just a fun atmosphere. On non football match days we have found it to be rather busy on all visits, albeit we have always found a table. There are a variety of seating areas within and an outside area too. If sat on the lower tier, it helps if the fire door is kept closed, as when open the smell of smoking wafts in.Whilst prices have increased, the drinks are still cheaper than other places. The staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable.. it is rather welcoming. When in Cambridge, this is always a place we return, and we will continue to do so.Totally recommend this Spoons...

Went into The Regal as we haven't visited before. We chose a table upstairs as it was busy downstairs and were relieved when we found you could order food at the bar upstairs .Ordered Scampi and ChickenTikka curry with drinks .The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the meal was very tasty .What more could you ask.

Really disappointed that I have to give it only 2/5. I came in today for lunch with my partner and both were rather disappointed by the meals we ordered. I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger and was very disappointed with the presentation. The bun was far too small for the chicken patty. There was no salad and very few chips. Meanwhile my partner had a standard beef burger which was very small. He finished it in about five bites and we counted the amount of chips he received and counted 16 and most of them weren’t even that big (barely 3 inches by observation). I thought most meals would have salads as a side included but I guess I was wrong. Very disappointed. Don’t think we will be coming back unfortunately. On a positive, drinks were nice and came out in good time.

The Regal
Great place with good food, the staff were very friendly, the food came quite fast and hot and the portions were quite larg, and it was way cheaper than most of restaurants, and you had a lot of options to choose from the menu. Definitely worth eating here

Use to drink here on a friday/Saturday night many years ago. This year I've been visited on several occasions, and (now) finally left a review. The atmosphere is abit drab. In my opinion it's abit dark and stuffy.I was going to describe the place as cheap and cheerful". Although only the cheap part is accurate. The prices are fair

Great place to grab some beers and food, has the usual wetherspoon atmosphere but the staff are good and the curry menu was surprisingly awesome. Decent prices and not too high.
