Excellent fish and chips. Discovered between Christmas and new year because they were the only ones open. We live in Sparrowpit so they put extra paper on to keep them warm. Going again this evening.

This is the third time that we've stopped off at the Fryery on our way back to Nottinghamshire. The ladies behind the counter are really friendly and very helpful. The food is always cooked fresh and to perfection. We would highly recommend this fish and chip shop in the High Peak.

Freshly made fish to order in about 5 mins which was excellent, chips were a bit enemic looking but good. The spicy curry sauce was lip tingling so not too hot and probably appeal to the majority. Overall 4 stars only let down by the chips.

Have used this chippy before and have had great food. Goodness knows what happened this evening! Ordered fish, chips, and mushy peas. I ordered the fish fresh when I walked in. When we opened them at home, the chips looked and tasted as though they were3 weeks old. Hard, shrivelled, and tasted awful. The fish was tasteless, and the mushy peas congealed. Will not be returning.

Went on National Fish and Chip day. What a treat we had, excellent crispy fish, very very good chips and mushy peas. There was a long queue, not surprisingly, but staff were working flat out. Well worth the wait

Traditional chippy offering traditional fish and chips, pies, puddings, curry sauce (traditional and spicy), peas, etc. Fish is cooked to order, always the sign of a decent chippy, and the batter is crispy and tasty. I've been going most Fridays for a few years now, and the standard of the food is consistent and always good. The staff are lovely and friendly, even when it gets busy, which it does.
