Derelict ruins. Was also an old zoo up to 1955. Situated within Mugdock Country Park

Craigend Castle
Still chasing around finding old Castles, this time Craigend. This sits behind a 6ft fence with no access to the ruins but i still managed a couple of pictures with my camera in the air stretching above the fence. Its a pity it was pouring down today but either way that's another castle ticked of the list :)

This is a beautiful Place to walk around whether you are a walking enthusiast or if you have dogs. They also have some little shops, cafes and a garden centre nearby where you can stop for a break afterwards.

Its sad to see the state of Craigend Castle.My grans cousin use to work there when it were a zoo.Sandy Craig.I use to play there back in the 1970sIt were not then in such a state no fence.It would be wonderful if I were restored.As it were once a beautiful mansion house in its day.The environment is beautiful lovely walks and history

Very quiet has a metal fence around it to keep people out. Lovely place to walk

I went and saw this with my friend. It was great to see the old ruin but sad that it has fallen into such a state of disrepair. The building I am sure was great before the roof was removed.It is fenced off so you cannot go inside but the surroundings are excellent for a quite and relaxing walk also!
