Poor was told by a security guard to not remove lipsticks from the packets in order to see the colour. I explained there were no testers for the products on the shelf so i had no choice in order to see the colour to know what i would be buying via removing the lipstick from the packet and checking the colour of course i did not use the actual product! I assume a member of the staff snitched on me to the security guard as a staff member had asked me if i needed any assistance 2 minutes later a security guard is tapping me on the shoulder, why the staff member could not have politely asked me not to remove the lipstick from the packet is beyond me! Put testers out for products and treat customers correctly please Mac Birmingham New Street.

Popped in for some advice regarding colour matching my foundation in readiness for my wedding end of May. Staff super helpful and did a complete make over with no appointment made, results were amazing. Cannot remember the name of the lady thst helped me but cannot thank her enough.

Popped in to the Mac Shop on the way to an event in London. I'd had my make-up done that morning but the eye shadow under my eyes had cause dark line under my eyes.. I ask for some advice on how to get rid my panda eyes and Henna was amazing.. she showed me what to do to correct it. Brilliant products and brilliant service from Henna, she super professional xx Thank you again Hemna!

Staff acknowledged me as soon as I entered the store which was good. I did go in to purchase a good few items which I did explain to the store assistant she was happy to help but I think for me when she saw the amount of items I was adding to my basket she did asking if I wanted random items instead of asking what my needs were and advising me of the option they had available

Had my makeup done by Sophie (dark hair) and it's perfect! So kind and asked all the questions, checked in with me to make sure I was happy, any changes she was happy to do. Nothing was tooo much trouble. Such a lovely experience and knows her stuff xx

My daughter had an hour long make up service today and we both had a blast. Denise is a great teacher and a good laugh. Even though it was getting busy in the store we didn't even notice until we were leaving. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the make up services here.

I have been in this store 3-4 times now when visiting Birmingham Grand Central and each time even though there has been staff available to come and speak to me or ask if I need help, they have not. I feel that this is because I’m not a person who feels the need to have make up that thick on my face that it looks like it has been applied with trowel, I like to keep my make up subtle but I feel because of this the staff take no interest in me when I enter the store. It would be nice if your staff would realise that when someone walks in with no make up on they are still a valued paying customer.

Lovely experience yesterday. Was barely in the store before I was approached by a member of staff asking if I needed help. Henna was very attentive and matched me to a blusher straight away, then also to a tinted lip balm and a new blusher brush. Very happy with my purchases and customer service.

We went in yesterday because we were looking to buy a foundation and this incredibly friendly lady called Denise helped and advised us. She literally just asked two questions and picked up the foundation that matched my skin like perfection. Couldn't recommend Denise more, she was so friendly and incredibly helpful!
