Bay Vets

Traveled to this vet after finding out the vet who would be seeing us at our local surgery was one we don't like - he's very rough and cold with the animals.We took our newly adopted & very sick hedgehog to Bay Vets and they were fantastic - not only can you clearly see this is a surgery that cares about people's pets (the waiting room is split into small sections for cats, dogs & rabbits; blankets provided to cover carriers etc) but the vet we saw was wonderful.She was gentle with our hedgehog and knew what she was talking about, she also handled him as little as possible as he was already ill and stressed.Also found this vet to be cheaper than our local surgery - just wish it was closer to us as we don't drive!

Always good to my pets and me.I had to come here to get the emergency vet to see my cat after she was bitten by another animal, they were very helpful and got my cat back to being happy and healthy quickly.

Not sure I have ever visited a more unprofessional and unfriendly vet practice. I will be making an official complaint to whomever it may concern and I will be un registering both my pets and taking them elsewhere.

Receptionist didnt seem interested in asking a vet to advise me on my sick budgie

Person who answered my call was rude, abrasive, condescending, ignorant and completely lacking empathy. Enquiring about euthanasing my dog of 17 years and was told they 'wouldnt entertain this' as they had no space to register my dog. Didnt talk to me with any empathy or sympathy. Went to vets4pets who were lovely.

My Spaniel Buzz broke his elbow and was ultimately treated at Bay Vets. My vet's main referral partner could not operate for 2-3 days, so I decided to call Bay vets as an alternative and they managed to get him in the very next day and with a saving of a third. Colin the surgeon was fantastic, explained the pre-op and post-op very well and it appears has done an excellent job with Buzz, he is already placing a little bit of weight on the impacted leg and the wound etc looks very tidy. Well done guys, it's not a situation pet or owner likes to be in but you made it as smooth as possible.

Always taken my dog here and found the care excellent. My dog was diagnosed with a cancerous mouth tumour and passed eight weeks later. I can only say from my experience the level of care, sensitivity and empathy was exceptional. From discussing options when first diagnosed to when he died, you felt like you were with people who genuinely understand , had a genuine desire to understand the animal and were with you every step of the way. On the day Max passed, the vet was amazing, suggested putting him to sleep in the garden and it was such a dignified and peaceful way to die, which is exactly what I wanted, and has made a difficult time significantly easier as it was such a loving last memory. In a few months I hopefully will rehome a rescue dog, I will definitely use them again.

I was shocked by the level of insensitivity and unprofessionalism shown by the vet who recently put my cat to sleep, it was upsetting and unnecessary. I'd said my last goodbyes to him, closed the door and was leaving the building only to see the vet dash by holding Tommy in one hand and instructing the receptionist on how to print out the £128 invoice, clearly before I left the building, it transpired that the vet knew nothing of his history and the fact id recently spent £600 on surgery for cancer. The thought of him watching me walk out of the building without him was awful

Very caring service. Always explained options and treatments very well. I felt my dig had great care.
