I had been given the shock news, by my vet, that my dog Buddy was a very sick dog. He had been a bit off colour and sick twice over the bank holiday and I decided to have some blood tests done only to be told he had pancreatitis and was diabetic. My vet said they were not able to treat him but there was an option of being accepted to one of three specialist hospitals but Buddy would need to be accepted first. Luckily he was accepted by Southfields and were told we would need to get him there immediately. Once there we were seen promptly by one of the vets and she was both honest yet comforting and I knew immediately he was going to be given the very best treatment. Buddy had never been left as my husband and I are housebound and he had been my lifeline and at 10 years he still had a lot to give. He was an inpatient for 5 long nights and we were given time for visits and telephone updates. The same vet was in attendance and as Buddy needed 24 hour care she assured me someone would be with him all through the night monitoring him. They were as good as their word. He was bathed and kept clean throughout his stay. He came home with a sensor for us to share readings with Southfields and my son, who has been our carer, became Buddy’s carer scanning him every 2 hours. Southfields asked for weekly updates and he has had his insulin increased three times now, he now has a regular graph and the pancreatitis is now showing negative. So Buddy is happy and in a routine that suits him as well as us as a family. The cost of care at Southfields matched the care Buddy was given and fell within the approximate price given on his first consultation. The majority of the bill was paid by us as his insurance didn’t cover the cost, he had never been ill before this so his insurance was just renewed each year never having questioned it but I am so glad that my vet recommended Southfields and they accepted him. The time he spent there was worth every penny and I feel even The Supervet on television could have bettered the care he received. What an amazing facility that beforehand I never knew existed.

Absolutely outstanding service all round. From the comfort and compassion shown to me as a pet owner, but more importantly, the care, love and dedication given to my dog throughout his surgery and subsequent stay and follow ups. My dog now LOVES going into southfields and greets everyone, which for a dog that's just had fairly major surgery is a reflection on how well he has been looked after. I can't recommend Southfields enough. All the staff, nurses, surgeons and clinicians are wonderful.

We were very pleased with the service received. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Our dog was in intensive care and has come out the other side. However his recovery at and home will be long and volatile. Only downside is the sheer cost of treatment. Even if you are insured as we were it could still cost you thousands of pounds if you dog stays more than a few days!

We had to rush our beloved dog, Barney, to them one evening and although he couldn’t be saved, the care and compassion shown to us by all members of staff from the lovely reception staff to the wonderful vet, Rui, was second to none. They couldn’t have done more for our beautiful boy and the kindest they showed us meant so much at what was a heartbreaking experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing place.I know you are only here if things aren’t right with your furbaby (animal/pet/baby), but the care and attention you get is second to none. Yes you pay top dollar but the credentials and expertise is off the charts. The love and affection shown to our Bengal as soon as we set foot in the door was heartwarming. It makes you feel happier leaving him here knowing that the people here actually love animals. The vets and nurses care and attention is outstanding.

Amazing placeCannot recommend this place highly enough. Very kind staff, patient and knowledgeable neurologist who recommended conservative treatment so definitely NOT in it to make money for the clinic but looking after the welfare of my animal. Received my written report to my vet and myself the same day. Thank you thank you thank you

Southfields took in our three-year-old Jack Russel after needing an emergency MRI and spine surgery. The consultant, Beth, was incredibly helpful and reassuring by giving us all the information and updates we needed. Dougie stayed at Southfields for three nights, and the staff took good care of him before and after his surgery. Now he's on the road to recovery thanks to this amazing, responsive team. Thank you, Southfields!

From the reception desk to the oncology department at Southfields we were provided exceptional care and compassion during our dog’s battle with bladder cancer with expertise, empathy, and state-of-the-art facilities. Unfortunately my girl passed away and I’d always recommend not having radiotherapy and chemo at the same time. Their little bodies can’t cope. The whole team were supportive and were as devastated at the outcome as my girl had been with them for 4 weeks of treatment battling against one issue and another.

Our beautiful cockapoo was rushed to Southfields with haemalitic anaemia. She was only 7 years old, had never been left before so we were understandably nervous. Everyone from the receptionists to the vet were very supportive. Marianne, our vet, explained everything to us, how they intended helping Bella and the probable cost. After the initial consultation we felt confident that Bella would be well looked after. Over the next couple of days we were given regular updates.Unfortunately Bella didn't make it but I know she was well looked after. Lots of cuddles and love. We were called in to make the awful decision to let her go then we received lots of cuddles and love too. These people love animals!
