I am writing this review on behalf of a friend who is a patient at this dental practice who wishes to remain anonymous. This is what she asked me to write: I wanted to share my recent experience at SDC. I don't usually find the need to comment about such things, however I cannot bring myself to let this one go. Whilst I was happy with the actual treatment, the atmosphere in the room was less than acceptable. The way in which Dr Tuhy spoke to her nursing staff was not only rude but degrading. If that wasn't bad enough, she then seemed to lose her patience with me and became frustrated when I asked her questions. I feel really apprehensive about returning for further treatments despite having good experiences prior to this.

I have been with this practice for many years and have found the dentists and hygienist to be thorough, kind and mindful of the fact that I am on a limited income. Every procedure has been meticulously described. I have had disastrous experiences with previous dentists and am grateful I have found these.

Running so late behind as to be unprofessional, the dentist rushed me through a 5 minute appointment (my first with the service and definitely my last) and when I said it wasn't good enough she said that this is the NHS.Overall, the first impression was poor. She was wearing scruffy jeans and her booming voice could be heard all round the waiting room as she discussed the findings of her investigations with patients, which I didn't have much choice but to listen to.I work as a therapist in the NHS, and the principle to go by is to treat patients as you would private clients. I can only assume that she'd got behind on some difficult cases, but no excuses were given.1/5

I've had 3 procedures by Mr rahemian now within the last 2 months, all 3 have had issues the roots of 2 teeth were broken during extractions the first one my bone around where the tooth is was broken still i have bone coming through my gum. The root was left in, the other was apparently removed however I had sharp bit stopping my gum from healing which eventually come out itself. Now today my filling has also come out. Really not acceptable I will not return. This probably explains why they can still accept new nhs patients cause they don't get reused often. Gave the benefit of the doubt first time clearly wasn't the right decision.

When one dentist is ruining the image of the practice and regularly, it should be known. The two ladies at the practice are great. I've been to the hygienist who was lovely but not been to the main female dentist as she is always booked, and this is for good reason. The remaining dentist available is Deepak and mine and my family's experiences with him have been horrible! I went in for a routine check up with Deepak and had instruments shoved into cavities with no regards to the pain I was in. Was told I needed to see the hygienist and have a filling. I left the practice with more pain than I had in my lifetime before! A week later I broke the very tooth whilst eating, which is odd that it happened after he unprofessionally probed into the cavity and not anytime before. I refused to go back to the practice as I ended up in a worse state than when I went in. But the worst part was hearing that my mum went to see the same dentist for an extraction. After having a local anesthethic she complained mid-way through the procedure that she could still feel everything and asked for another anesthethic. Deepak ignored the request and continued with the procedure. Still in pain mum asked whether it was safe to drive home which Deepak confirmed it was ok to. My mum got into a minor accident on the way home, which she attributed to not focusing because of the pain. Could have been alot worse. My father complained to the surgery but no action was taken on the dentist. It's unfair that patients should be treated so badly and unprofessionally just because this is the only dentist available". The practice was convenient as it's walking distance from us. None of my family will go back to Deepak and it's only fair I write this to warm other people
