It's a great university with a nice environment. The facilities of the university are very good and almost all the equipment of the university are modern and high quality. Special workshops have been planned for all fields of study so that students can do or finish their plans and projects there. There is a very pleasant environment to sit with friends and drink coffee. There is so much peace in the area that you can safely sit on a chair and do your personal work. From the library to the dining hall, everywhere is calm, beautiful and pleasant.

I studied here from 1983-86 and had a very happy and pleasant time. The campus has grown hugely since then and it's still a great place to study both in the Arts and Media industry. It's nice to see my family come here and study in my footsteps too and of course for me to return to an old haunting ground.

Really lovely university with quite many opportunities offered to the student. Its facilities are top-notch. My only issue would be with communications - sometimes emails might arrive late or not at all, prompting you to remind the university staff about yourself if there is an issue to resolve.

I went here for an activity with United Sixth Form. We were given a tour of the campus and listened to a few lectures. I can say that the university at least looks good, feels modern and may be a great environment to study and learn at.

I studied BA Hons Architecture for 3 years - 1st year once and 2nd year twice and did not complete it.You would think being an individual who is so hardworking, attends every session (unless ill or had a family emergency) that the studying experience would be better, instead, things were worse including lecturers being all over the place, lecturers would say one thing and forget what they said which was very confusing especially when students had already made the changes based on what the lecturers said ; they would get defective and tell me that I was wrong when I told them what they had said the last time (eventhough I had recordings of sessions). In sessions lecturers were very brief when it came to feedback; when it came to results day, I would fail the unit because they were too vague and when it came to results day the feedback that was written was totally different to feedback in sessions + it was common that students would have to do a design again because the lecturers would force them to do another design based on what they wanted to see instead of making suggestions on what the student's ideas were originally (which made no sense as the lecturers would say it’s not about if they don’t like the project, it’s about how the students would deliver the deliverables)As for the complaints team at AUB ! totally useless! … I had a meeting with them, they could not understand any of it (or should I say did not want to understand because they are so lazy) . After I met with them they said they would not be taking my complaint any further but put me in contact with Leighton (disability officer) in regards to disclosing my disability to my tutors which I was very apprehensive about as most of my life when it came to my education, tutors treated me very differently to other students, however, I had the meeting with Leighton he was extremely helpful! and I think because of that eventhough I was still apprehensive, I went through with my disclosure as I did want to do well going forward... from thatmoment the tutors became very manipulative! and I can say that from me disclosing my disability that Aub DOES NOT accept people that have a disability , in fact, they make you feel so small in front of your peers when you ask a question eventhough they (the tutors/ lecturers) would say on numerous occasions that it was okay to ask questions. There is definitely favourtism between staff and students. If you were someone that weren’t quite good at everything , no matter how much you would to take the course seriously , you will soon find yourself left out which is what exactly happened to me on a few occasions including a specific lecturer telling me I should focus on something else when I put myself forward for an opportunity (eventhough the tutor told me they would get in contact with me in terms of date). There are so many other disgraceful situations I have been involved in at Aub with some of the tutors including Jennifer Scott (technical senior lecturer at AUB) Lise Raue ( lecturer) and Catja De Haas (visiting lecturer) along with things that I think are very odd ie students do not get to speak with the external examiners before they make their decision on whether students should get a 3rd attempt but make their decision based on what the tutors say…I am so glad, I no longer attend this university and its toxic environment ; considering my experience and what some of the lectures said to me “you cannot be an architect” in the summer of 2022 I was able to get myself 3 paid internships with 2 huge architecture firms which were so happy to have me (one even offered me a job) in which I want this review to give an insight of what this university is really like to study at but to also tell people that if they are in a similar situation at this university or in general , to not make people belittle you based on their status because there are so many other paths to get into the career you wish to get into.

I am about to graduated from this University and it has been a wonderful experience. The only reason I put 4 starts is because I believe there is always space for improvements in education. The campus is amazing and always growing with a focus in making student life better. The lectures are well prepare in academic and also professional areas. They will always challenge you and push you to give more. I am really happy with my experience here, I always got the support I need and I will recommend anyway to join the BU community !! :)
