My visit was mainly for lunch and a catch-up with friends. We had lunch in Hatties. Lovely homemade soup and generously sized pannini with great coffee. I've eaten here a couple of times now & enjoyed it. There is a good choice of snacks and meals. There is a good range of everything you'd expect to find at a garden centre and a lovely gift shop.

Garden center has really gone down hill since being taken over. Very poor selection of Christmas decks and no longer have all the lights and ornaments in the top section. Kids were looking forward to going but left very disappointed

Have been visiting for years, long before it was taken over. Always liked it, friendly staff. Has to be said, not the biggest garden centre, but always good quality plants, gardening equipment and gifts. Tea room was okish. Cakes a bit boring. But since being taken over, the whole place seems refreshed. Organised, good displays. I think better stocked plant wise now. Gift area not as cluttered. Tea room again seems refreshed, more choice i would say and seems to be busy, which speaks for itself. Price wise i think it is reasonable, for decent quality plants etc. I would give 5 stars, but unfortunately dogs are allowed in tearoom, which is not something i like. They maybe need to have separate area for dogs, like other places. Not everyone wants to eat where there is dogs. Worth a visit definitely.

Visited the cafe for breakfast yesterday and wanted a pot of tea for one but wanted two cups as a full pot of tea is too much for me. I picked up another cup but was informed they charge by the cup. How ridiculous. I thought it should be by the pot NOT the cup. Won't be eating there again

This is a nice garden centre, it sells a variety of different products. The Christmas stuff here is great.

We have bee here three times now and when visiting family, we always return. There are a wide variety of different plants and the Gift shop is a firm favourite.

First time going since it has changed hands. Think the best way to describe it is generic - same as all the other branches. It's definitely lost its character, and my interest. Didn't visit the cafe but if its anything like the one at Otley it will be small, overpriced portions. At least the staff are nice.

Went to the cafe for breakfast, food practically cold , looked like it was thrown onto plate , eggs hard yolk, had nearly finished meal when toast arrived .Would not recommend this cafe .

Fantastic Christmas displays as every year. Great range of Christmas decorations, gifts, food and drink as well as indoor and outdoor plants, pet items and everything for the garden.

I prefer the garden centre now. Stephen Smith kinda went downhill a few years ago. However, now the various areas are neat and tidy with a clearer vision to the future. Like all garden centres, the plants are 50% if the area. But the plants are really healthy and there's a lot of staff on hand to help. I've not tried the cafe - it was far too hot to be inside when we visited. It may be air-conditioned I don't know. The gift area does have air-conditioning which was extremely welcomed on our visit.
