Small Talk Speech and Language Therapy

We were clients of Smalls Talks for a good amount of time, and while the service I received from Kaye was good.The way the business handles their back office is questionable at best. I had a program set up over a period of time whereby good progress was being made every Tuesday between 2pm and 3pm.However, around two weeks ago on Monday, just before 5pm (close of business) I had an passive aggressive email regarding the account being significantly over due, bearing in mind I had no reminders or knowledge the account was over due by such an amount, the message stated that the session due the next day, less than 24 hours away will be cancelled if I didn't immediately pay. However, the amount stated to be owed seemed very wrong, I therefore queried the amount which was totally reasonable given the fact it didn't seem to be right. However given the ransom/black mail in regards to the session being cancelled less than 24 hours this seemed very unreasonable. I therefore responded to express my views and asked what invoices they believe to he overdue, to which they responded, admitting they had made a mistake, and the amount was half the amount they originally believed to be owed, to my relief as it made me realise it was right of me to question the amount, given I was in actual fact right in believing the amount to be wrong.I immediately brought the account up to date after going through what I had as paid and so forth, I then asked whether therapy could continue given the account is now up to date and have not received a response, as I've said the last correspondence was approximately 2 weeks ago, after they had been paid in full.I would strongly advice them to make sure that they update their accounting software when payments are made to avoid mistakes like this happening again, as I'm sure this was a one off but it is a significant mistake. I work in accounts, and should I handle queries like this in my line of work, we wouldn't have any customers left.I hope Libby, Rachel and the rest of the team learn from this and can improve their processes and procedures.

Absolutely amazing experience. Small Talk fully understood our son. The assessment - to my son it was a fun experience that didnt impact on his mental needs at all. The report was in depth and was written in terms i could understand, along with all the detailed information required by professionals. Thankyou!

Libby is amazing. She puts your child at ease very quickly. She has a soothing voice and a gentle manner. Her report was fantastic and enabled our child to get the help he needs in the EHCP
