Mr Paul Pavlou - Specialist Knee Surgeon

Paul Pavlou was my specialist of choice having researched knee replacement surgery in Bournemouth. Right from the start I received very informative emails on a daily basis explaining everything I needed to know. At my consultation with him I came away feeling totally confident that I was going to have the very best of treatment and I have to say my expectations were far exceeded. When I went to Mr. Pavlou its fair to say I was unable to walk, was in constant pain and life was pretty miserable. He confirmed that I needed both knees replaced the left one being a matter of urgency. That was last summer 2022 and I have now had both knees replaced under his care and I have to say the expertise, care and overall experience was superb. I cannot thank Paul Pavlou enough for giving this 71 year old a new lease of life which is down to his extraordinary skill and that of his team. From the outset of meeting Paul I knew this was the man to carry out my surgery.He understood that I felt passionate about still wanting to do lots of activities in my life and could deliver the very best possible outcome using the Mako robot assisted knee .I had a uni compartmental medial on my right leg and have to say after 1 week I can already get over 100 degrees of bend and I still have some swelling and staples in .Overall extremely pleased so far and can only get better with time .Thank you Paul and a massive thank you to your assistant Viki who managed to source the knee components as supply chain has been disrupted with these .

Dr Paul Pavlou undertook my mums knee replacement surgery after suffering with the pain for many years. From the start, Dr Paul was not only so helpful and informative but very professional. We all cannot rate him highly enough for both the surgery and aftercare that she received. His assurance and aftercare was second to none.

I have now had two hip replacements on both sides with a period of two years in between. On each occasion Mr Pavlou untertook these hip replacements. He is professional, caring and given the end results, extremely proficient. At each point prior, during and post, Mr Pavlou ensured any questions were answered and he was also keen to determine how the recovery was progressing. I am now mobile, after six weeks without pain and have no hesitation in stating, thst should I need any further hip surgery in the future, Mr Pavlou would be the consultant I would like to undertake this.

A very special thanks to Mr Pavlou and his team and all at the Bournemouth Nuffield Hospital, for TKR operation and all the excellent aftercare and physiotherapy, I am already walking without pain and look forward to many years of swimming, cycling and gardening.
