Birmingham Wine School

Arranged online WSET Level 1 qualification through Birmingham Wine School. Katie was really helpful in organising everything including the in person exam. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely last evening at the Birmingham Wine School Extraordinary Wines of Europe. Katie, our host, had chosen six different wines not from the usual European wine making countries but introduced us to wines that we would not otherwise have bought. Some were wonderful and some were not to our taste. The whole evening was very educational and I would highly recommend it to you.

My wife and I attended on 20/05/23. We had a fantastic time, sampled some lovely wines and had a nice meal. Katie Gardner hosted the event and she is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and fun! She answered all our questions and made sure everyone felt included. By the end of the day we had some new best friends". :) Please don't think about driving after the event. I now have a new favourite wine thanks to Katie.P.S. You don't need to be a wine 'expert' to attend this. Everyone is catered for."

Wonderful day out. Katie was very knowledgeable & entertaining. We learnt such a lot in a convivial atmosphere. She went out of her way to make it a memorable experience.

A brilliant day with the lovely Katie Gardner tasting a fantastic range of white and red wines. The Hotel Du Vin provided a wonderful group of like minded people with a great venue. A very relaxed environment as Katie put us all at ease. She is a very knowledgeable woman when it comes to both wine and geographical locations of where the wines came from including the specific regions. She made it fun for all of us with a couple of quizzes to keep us alert. Highly recommended for couples and a really great gift option for people who are struggling to buy their spouse’s for either birthdays or as a Christmas present. In essence my wife and I had a really enjoyable time.

Really excellent WSET Lvl 2 course. Set in an interesting venue and with lovely members of the team this course was presented and taught excellently. The selection of wine and overall knowledge was top notch. Cheers!

What a fun evening! We did a cheese and wine tasting at the Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham (Snow Hill). Katie was great she had such a relaxed and fun style that hit the right balance of keeping the evening light hearted but with loads of insight and specialist knowledge of the wine and cheese we sampled. It was really easy to ask questions and a great selection of wines and generous amounts of cheese! You’ll definitely find something you like that may even be a bit different to your normal bottle. A definite recommendation from us!

What a wonderful experience. Katie Gardener (Owner) is so knowledgable and we such fun with her and the other Guests. We sampled 13 Wines and had a fab Lunch - it was just great - we will be going again to one of her other themed events

I thoroughly enjoyed this three day “in person” course, which was expertly and competently delivered by Katie. I would not hesitate to recommend it to other people. It is equally invaluable for those people who need it for their work, or for the casual person who enjoys decent wine and wants to know more. Many thanks .
