Harry and his team were trusted experts while damp proofing our new-to-us older stone house. Very helpful, they always arrived when they said they would, did the job and had great communication throughout. Thanks!

I Have to say I hadn't a clue what dry rot was until it got into my mothers house in Dundalk. God love her she was distraught at what was happen to her house, there was doors coming off the frames and the stairs where breaking up. A friend recommended mcguinness Building and to be honest the house is like brand new now. The job they did after treating the dry rot was finished to the last. Considering they had to start the job pre covid and then go off site until they got the all clear to come back, they where in constant contact with my mum reassuring her everything will be ok. That was a big help as she's a panicker. We are delighted with the job and we can't thank Harry and the lads enough.I'd recommend them for any job and they where always available to keep you up to date on the work. Thanks again lads, brilliant job.

I found that the McGuinness firm were a pleasure to have working in the house. They were efficient, courteous, clean and tidy. On the first morning they were due to start work in the early morning; after an hour, I received a phone call to say that there had been two accidents on the M1 and that they were stuck in traffic. Later in the morning I received a second call to say that they were making progress and then they arrived at lunchtime. I was so impressed. I have to say that they are one of the best firms that I have dealt with.

Last year I was involved in the revamp of a 2 room & a kitchen bungalow built in the late 1940's with a bathroom & scullery added on in mid 60's . The first thing to be addressed was the rising damp in the original mass concrete walls and the mould & dampness on the cavity block extension. I was recommended to contact Harry as being the expert in this area. He came and assessed the situation at the agreed date & time. He recommended the chemical injection for the original build and the membrane system for the cavity walls. A separate builder was doing the revamp but Harry suggested they liaise with each other directly in relation to a start date. From my point of view this worked seamlessly. When the builder had the walls stripped Harry came immediately to complete his section of the work. Now that the project is complete the revamped bathroom and new kitchen is so fresh and warm - even though there is no change to the heating system. It is clear already that both of these methods have resolved the issue. Harry is a gentleman to deal with and I would recommend him for his specialised knowledge & modern techniques in dealing with these structural issues
