St Columba's Hospice

Possibly my favourite charity shop in the whole of Edinburgh. Their window displays are always top notch. Inside, the staff are helpful and happy to see you. The shop is divided into clothes, books, kitchen items, and even a haberdashery.

Excellent charity shop, full of treasures at very good prices and wonderful and friendly staff. So much recommended!

Disappointed to realise they sell (and people still buy) real fur.

The fabric section is amazing. I've never seen anything like it! Last time I was in they had a whole rail of dyed leather hides.

I love this charity shop mainly for it's large selection of buttons and it's section of fabrics, bedding, curtains, tea towels etc. at the back. I've found some fantastic vintage tea towels here, still in 'as new' condition which I'm hoping to repurpose into something fun.I find the cheap fabrics are great if you're just starting out with a sewing machine, as you can have a play around without spending a lot of money in case something doesn't go quite as expected!They usually have a good book selection and it's a great place to find vintage glassware as well. The prices are always very reasonable and they also sell free range farm eggs!Always worth stopping in for a poke around, there are hidden treasures to be found!

Such a great charity shop! Surprised not to see more reviews.So many hidden gems, not limited to just clothing - they stock beautiful handbags, purses, baby clothes, fabric and sewing/knitting essentials and so much more. Staff are always very friendly too!
