Don't live here but delivered here. Absolute nightmare to find anything. Partially due to still being a construction site, partially because the lighting at nightime is not worth the effort.Clean and tidy. Staff on reception are helpful

I am a resident at Great Wilkins (on campus) and I have a car for which I applied for a permit to be able to park at Paddock Fields (as they don't let you park inside Great Wilkins). It is known here, that when applying for a permit, any fines received are able to be reversed by Matt on reception and he has done this many times for me and other students in the past (reverse the fines). However I received three fines in October which he chose not to reverse, and now I have to pay three £180.00 fines in order to AVOID A CCJ ! I applied for my permit in time and followed all procedures which is why I'm so upset about this situation! This has been hanging over me for my whole second year at university and has honestly been the most stressful experience! Matt lied to me and told me to park in Paddock Halls until my permit came through but now as I'm dealing with the complaint the accommodation team are telling me there's no evidence Matt ever suggested that... So as a paying resident and a student at this university I am being treated as a nuisance.I have to pay x3 £180.00 just to avoid a CCJ in my name, just because I followed procedure and did as I was told?I can wholeheartedly say this experience has made studying here at the university of Brighton so much harder and more stressful than it ever had to be and it has ruined my second year at university and in turn my grades. They could have reversed my fines as I am a resident here, but they didn't and now I am paying £180.00 x3 to avoid a CCJ, I guess this is what I get/deserve for coming to university and trying to better my life, right? The course is great and the lecturers are too but unfortunately because of this situation I've been forced to endure, I really wholeheartadly do not recommend students come to this university, as there's huge issues they're unwilling to resolve which they essentially pass on to the students out of laziness and for financial gain.

Been here recently for summer camp. Foods sucks, very unorganized and the rooms never got cleaned. My room accumulated lint and dust in just 2 DAYS. Can't use the kitchen in the dorms either.

Attended 87-90 and was awarded a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Fine Art. I also picked up an undergraduate prize for Drawing en route. From fresher's week to final graduation the University provided a good education. I'm indebted to David, Robert, Gudrun, Anton, Mike, Ian, Brendan and Patrick (my lecturers) who layed the foundations for my career in Arts teaching. I moved on to Leeds and Cambridge University for rigorous teacher training. I have to agree with Jack Smith though - people just don't teach". Brighton Poly and a few of my contemporaries definitely enabled me for life. Really rate the Alumni after care :)) Thanks

A fantastic university with a lot to offer! Support offered to those students who need additional support via DSA.Could do more to improve their carbon footprint but overall a great place to learn!

Underwhelming experience at university, greedy and not understanding. Would not recommend. Feel bad for some of the lectures who are excellent and deserve to be at a better university.
