The Dance Studios

Started attending the Adult Ballet class (6.30 Wed) with Maxine at the end of summer last year. Absolutely love it. Having studied up to RAD Adv 1 in Edinburgh but not having danced properly in 10 years, I’ve tried several different adult ballet classes around Nottingham over the past few years. I’ve found it really hard to find a good balance of challenging dance content and fun, but Maxine’s class is brilliant. Lovely group of ladies. Would highly recommend.

We booked with The Dance Studios for a course of classes for the first dance at our wedding. We can honestly say that the weekly lessons with Maxine were the best thing we did in the lead up to our wedding. For two complete beginners she gave us the confidence and skill to perform a routine to our chosen song. It was also lots of fun! At a time when there's lots of wedding preparation to be done, it was lovely to have the time with each other one on one. The studios are lovely with high ceilings and big windows. Thank you so much Maxine!

As the oldest student at the Dance Studios, and having attended classes for about six years, I would like to say how much I feel valued, regardless of my ability. All students are treated with great respect and are encouraged to perform at a high level. There are adult classes at all grades, from absolute beginners to those with many years dance experience. The teachers are all excellent and make classes stimulating and fun. I could not recommend the school more highly.

The dance studios is truly the best dance school!! I’ve been attending for 10 years now and made friends for life! I compete in regular competitions, annual shows and syllabus work/exams whilst having the most amount of fun :) They offer a wide range of dance classes available to all ages and abilities and my confidence has grown so much since I’ve started here .

My partner and I had the pleasure of attending two one-hour wedding dance sessions at the Dance Studio with Maxine as our instructor. We were thrilled with the routine she choreographed for us. Maxine's clear direction, feedback, and support throughout the lessons made for a fantastic experience. She is a joy to work with - calm, and patient, and made us feel at ease. We are delighted with our choreographed dance, which strikes the perfect balance between elegance and fun. We highly recommend the Dance Studio to couples who are considering a structured routine for their wedding. The prices are also very reasonable, and the warm welcome you receive from the moment you arrive is simply wonderful. We have one more lesson that we are both excited about!

Fantastic dance school. Both my kids dance here and love it. And it even inspired me to have a go at adult tap! My 7 year old regularly competes with them in dance festivals, has started taking dance exams and has made friends for life. My 3 year old is taking his first lessons and loved dancing in the annual big show which is a joy to watch and you can see the quality of teaching in the fantastic routines they perform.

I have been going to adult tap and ballet classes at The Dance Studios for a few years now and I absolutely love it! Everyone has always been so welcoming and supportive. There is great teaching at all levels without any pressure. You can just learn at the level that your comfortable with.The teaching during lockdown has been great. It's been so nice to have something consistent during this weird time and I can't wait to get back in the studio.

What a fantastic dance school, we are so pleased we found it. The Dance Studios is a friendly and welcoming place and the quality of the dancing is absolutely superb. The teachers are excellent and my daughters always come out of their classes smiling and looking forward to next week's lesson. I thoroughly recommend the Dance Studios to all dance enthusiasts!
