Do not give this company any business. Their MO is to cold call pensioners, give them the 'hard sell', then massively overcharge for work done. My parents, both in their 80s, are recent victims having paid £1995 for radiator flushing - a job that took UHSL's operative approximately 4hours to carry out. An appearance on Watchdog (or similar) would be in order. We'll start the ball rolling with Trading Standards....

This company have sold a 5 year plan to my elderly parents.This company have sold my elderly, vulnerable parents a '5 year GOLD Package' for basically bleeding their radiators. 5 years!!!! My parents are 84!!! cost for the 5 year plan £1100, discounted from £1500. How very generous of them.An absolute disgrace that they should prey on the elderly in this way.Do not engage with them.

Common theme here. Cold calling and fleecing pensioners (ie my father). Yeah there are some five star reviews but if you look at the reviewers they are all in the USA.

We were cold called on Friday 29th June, my husband took thr call but asked them to call back when I would be at home. I was reluctant as most cold calls are scams. I wish I had listened to my own advice. An engineer called round that evening and told us what they could do for us, i.e. we would save a fortune on heating bills by putting what amounts to rolls of tin foil behind radiators, and our boiler would be protected by adding Endotherm. We were given the impression that the process would take around a couple of hours. We considered it overnight and decided to go ahead. The same engineer called round June 1st and I signed the form. We then went on holiday later that day and whilst away I began to regret the agreement. However when we returned home on July 17th we had passed the cooling off period. Two engineers came onThursday 27th July. One then went off to the local shop and didn't return for about ten minutes. The other one fitted the Radflek (tin foil) On returning the engineer went upstairs, to I assume. add the Endotherm to the system, but I didn't go upstairs. I reluctantly paid the £500 pounds for a job that took twenty to thirty minutes at best. Certainly not two hours. THe next day all our radiators were hot even though the thermostat ws not on, I rang one of the engineers and told him, he didn't know the reason but offered to call round. However I was at work. He initially suggested someone would call 0n the following Monday. I rang again when I came from work, as requested, and he asked me to send photos of the clock/timer control. He did say that what they had done could not have caused the problem. I sent the photos and heard nothing since. I feel we have been misled and ripped off. I will be advising people not to get invoved with Home Save. If something sounds too good to be true it usally is.
