Cakes & Bakes Original (Forest Gate)

This place has been my go-to for buying birthday cakes for a couple years now and their quality has been very consistent. Great cakes!

The best shop i have ever seen in East London. The staff was very good. The way they treat us from our first step to the last step is amazing. Not only that the cakes they sell are very attractive, delisious and mouth watering.I always preffer thus one for buying cakes. Please do visit and taste the cakes.

I'm in love with this bakery! The cakes are not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, and the textures are perfectly soft and moist. They offer a wide variety of options to suit every taste. I've ordered from them multiple times, and they never disappoint!

I ordered two birthday cakes and after 3 days I decided to cancel one of the cakes as they were not responding to a query regarding how I wanted the cake. I then get an automated email which they use AI to respond and what was said in the email contradicts there terms and conditions.The terms of the website clearly says you can cancel an order 20 days prior to delivery. The cake is not even due until the 28th December!!! Then they send another email which is again copied from another website and using AI, talking about a wedding cake and that they can’t give me money back! Who was ordering a wedding cake?!!!!I suggest people stay very clear from cakes and bakes as they are unprofessional and you can’t even talk to a human being to discuss any situation with them. If you don’t want your money taken from you I suggest you stay very clear. I don’t know how they think they can get away with taking people money but at some point someone will shut this cake company down!

Hi, I would like to share my experience I had for the first time and I absolutely loved it! My family members recommended me to get my birthday cake from here because they all were impressed every time they shopped from here. And surely the best one for me as well! Cake was massive and delicious! Taste was not compromised at all even for a big size cake. Service was very nice and kind staff, took care of every detail! Couldn’t thank more!! Made my day! Apparently this shop has no manager.The person who works there and answers the phone has got no manners.If you are calling to speak to a manager and it is a complaint about the member of staff who has picked the call, there is no telephone manners.What do you want? "Absolutely disgusting

Sent a damaged WEDDING cake that was also totally different to what we asked for- DO NOT BUY- no manager? Person on the phone is rude and hung up and they keep responding to our emails with auto responses.

Hands down, the best cakes I've ever had! The website offers an impressive selection of flavors, and each one is a work of art. The presentation is flawless, and the taste is out of this world.
